My Ozi Perl Creole Vila

Perfecte locatie, winkels en restaurants op loopafstand. Bij aankomst werden we verwelkomt met een lekker vers kokos drankje. We voelden ons gelijk thuis, appartement was volledig uitgerust! Genoeg ruimte om de auto te parkeren. Myriam en Perli zijn fantastische hosts. Zou dit zo weer kunnen boeken. Myriam en Perli bedankt voor een fantastisch verblijf we hebben genoten!

Good location, beach, shops, take aways, bus stop in the nearby, comfortable apartmen, kind host, nice view from the garden

Unfortunately we couldn't pay by card, so we had to take out money from the ATM what had more extra cost, also we didn't get any invoice or proof of paying There is two separated apartman in one house, so the walls are very thin, therefore you can hear every single word of your neighbour, even they listen music at night The extra gift dinner for the long staying has been forgotten

We stayed at My Ozi Perl for 5 nights on Praslin. Communication with the owners and host was great. Myriam is very responsive and she provides all the details in one message. Dereck and Shaynon are good hosts. They picked us up at the airport in a short notice because we came with the earlier flight. Dereck also brought us a lamp during the power cut. The house is close to the airport and bus stop, and Grand Anse beach is on a walking distance. However, once you get spoiled with all the other beaches on Praslin, Grand Anse is nothing special. Bed was very big and two adults and a baby had more than enough space. Even though Shaynon and Dereck prepared a baby cot for us. The kitchen has a new fridge and microwave. This is probably one of the cheapest accommodations on Praslin (85€/night).

The house is very old and should be renovated. It literally looks like my grandma’s house in Bosnia. We personally hated the smell of humidity. Neighboring rental unit is separated only by old wooden door, which isn’t a particularly effective sound isolator. The air conditioning is installed in the bedroom and was set to 16C when we came, but you barely could feel it in the kitchen and living room. The kitchen is poorly equipped with old pans and knives that are damaged and not sharp at all. Cutting mango was mission impossible. We also experienced flooding from the front door, lack of water in the shower and geckos coming in and out through the ceiling. At least a few things can be improved easily. Since this is a self catering house, people will cook in it if you provide better equipment. Bonus points would be oil, salt and pepper. Also it would be nice to leave soap, some toilet paper rolls, bags for garbage bin in the bathroom and a bottle of water (especially when your guests are coming on Sunday noon when the shops are closed until 16:30).
