- Wonderful overall service that made up for the outdated part of the hotel. - Two onsens in the hotel and one in the adjacent hotel. The two in the hotel were well-equipped, well-maintained and, luckily for us, not crowded off rush hours. - Excellent breakfast buffet and all-day snack and drink bar in the lobby. - Spacious Japanese-style futon room with nice straw smell. Super comfortable beddings. Nice view to the mountains. Clean and quiet.

The onsens are wonderful.

We enjoyed the room and the onsen, both of which were relaxing and had a lot of charm. The property has great potential and appears to have been a wonderful destination in its prime.
For the price, the room and onsen felt poorly maintained. The kaiseki-style dinner was disappointing, with bland flavors and even fish scales found on a piece of sashimi.
