It’s like its own little island. Having to get boat to access the grounds was amazing however, the novelty does wear off. The villas are superb with great views of the sunset

Breakfast could do with a bit more variety, only 6 sun loungers by the pool and the boat back from the mainland to the hotel finished at 9pm which means you’re quite restricted in an evening. The food was passable but there are much better options on the island. It does get a bit jarring having to get a boat in and out every time you wanted to leave the resort, as it felt like extra effort just to pop out for a coffee. If you are happy to stay in the resort and not explore the island then this would be perfect if the food was a little better quality

The staff were extremely friendly and attentive throughout our stay – Pai in particular was always available and went out of his way to accommodate all our requests. The location is ideal if you’re looking for peace and quiet, as the hotel is quite secluded. It has an almost private beach, with a tidal lagoon and canal, and the property is accessed exclusively by boat, which adds to the unique experience. The natural setting is truly outstanding. Secret Beach, likely one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, is just a few minutes away on foot or a short kayak ride. Despite the remote feel, many excellent restaurants can be reached within 10–15 minutes by scooter. The food scene on the island was surprisingly good. The hotel restaurant is also very good – portions are generous and justify the slightly higher prices. Breakfast leans more towards Asian options, which I personally appreciated, although I would have liked a wider selection of fruit. I had read some negative reviews about the rooms, but our experience was positive. We stayed in the Pool Suite Villa, which is the largest category. It features a relatively large private pool, a spacious terrace, and an amazing view of the sea and Koh Raet island. The villa felt at least partially renovated and was very spacious – essentially two connected units with a bedroom and bathroom plus a large separate living area. It also seems to be the only room type with a fridge and TV. While the terrace and pool area were excellent, there is still some room for further updates and refreshment, which would better justify the relatively high price. Wi-Fi was excellent. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised given some of the previous reviews and would definitely consider coming back.
