    Stayed here for 4 nights with my girlfriend. It was our first time coming to Koh Kood and we were excited to stay at Tolani. While the resort itself was quite nice, ultimately I think the value was not worth the price. First of all, considering how premium the pricing point was, tiny details were left ignored: there was a section of our room that was not properly swept or mopped (it looked like it hadn’t been swept in months, and prior guests’ garbage were there); curtains over the main door was on a slanting curtain rod; main screen door did not open properly and would flex/bend as you opened it. Some might call these nitpicks but they are quite inexcusable and slowly add up to a confusing experience the longer we stayed, especially considering the amount I paid. Redeeming qualities: the restaurant was very good, always excellent meals; the grounds itself was quite neat and tidy; the beach area is very shallow and rocky, but you can walk/swim through the beach to get to another classically sandy beach about 10 minutes away; the staff was competent albeit cold towards me; etc All in all, the stay itself wasn’t disastrous. I really wanted to like it, but ultimately felt underwhelmed. Very mid compared to the expectations (comparing the reality against its marketing and listing).

    Our stay was pleasant but nothing special and certainly not worth the price. It was the most expensive of our trip around Thailand, and the least satisfying. Staff were friendly, but the place lacked any atmosphere. Location is ok but there’s no beach. I chose it because I like to have a pool for a freshwater dip but the pool was in bad shape (tiles missing) and so many mosquitoes around it, you couldn’t sit by it. Breakfast was nice but ants crawling across the tables. Room was nice, located on top of the hill with a nice view through the trees but it was a little bit tired, and the steps up to it were in need of replacing.
