The Chalet was very pretty with all the snow on it. Its more spacious in the lounge area than it looks. The kitchen was very well equipped and the whole place was very warm - considering we went in December for Xmas week we didnt have to put the fire on once. Host was very amenable - he responded to all our calls and messages very promptly. The location of 2 places to eat less than 5 min walk away was great! And definitely needed for Xmas week. Both locations served very good food and had lovely views etc.

Some things needed to improve the stay - it didn't feel like enough consideration for guests had been made. The key was around the back door not the one you go into, you then have to walk through the chalet in wet boots to get to the room to put your shoes/boots in - would make more sense to have the key for the right door there. There was no wood there for the fire - when we contacted Normund he said it was on a trailer somewhere in the grounds, which we never did find, but luckily it wasnt needed. I would have expected firewood to be there ready for us. No instructions on anything apart from the woodburner - no instructions for the sauna which meant we had to call up Normund again. There should be a booklet in the chalet of how to use the things in there in English. The chalet is definitely not big enough for more than 4 people max. The toilet and bathroom are separate but more than 4 people would be too many for the 1 toilet and the very small (pretty uncomfortable) sofa. We understand it was Xmas week but the price of this property was in excess of what it was worth - we wouldnt pay that again.

Perfect size for two couples. Plenty of cooking equipment, plates and utensils. Great location, just outside the busy town so feels like you’re in a forest.
