York Apartment Conway Cottage

The apartment was a good size and tidy and in walking distance to everything, which was brilliant.

It was absolutely lovely! The location was fantastic near the city walls, just around the corner from the Barbican Theatre which was perfect for us, and a short, 15-minute walk into the centre of York, Shambles Market, etc. It was very comfortable with everything we needed for a 3-night stay: fully fitted kitchen making it easy to cook, TV with Netflix etc, WiFi in the apartment, comfy double bed in the bedroom, comfy sofabed in the living room , wardrobe with plenty of hangers and drawers, good hot shower, hair dryer, etc. There was free residents’ parking available on the street outside the house by prior arrangement with the Council via the host who was most helpful. This was a big plus for us in York. All in all, this apartment was excellent for our needs and exceptionally good value when compared with similar properties in York.

The apartment was up one flight of stairs from the entrance so it’s not ideal for mobility-impaired people.

Location was excellent

The bathroom was a bit tiered and the windowsill needs painting

The location was perfect, very quiet. Short walk to town. The apartment very clean and cosy and well equipped. The host was very accommodating and welcoming. Would not hesitate to stay again.
