About this apartment rental
Conway Cottage is a self-catering Apartment situated in the heart of York, just 10 minutes’ walk to the City Centre and University and overlooking the medieval city walls. We offer our guests with free complementary tea/coffee, milk & juice. Free Fiber Optic super fast WiFi and free on-street parking are also provided. We now use self check in system so you can check in anytime after 1400hrs.
To make your stay more comfortable, we now use a Luxury Premium sprung pocket mattress due to which repeat guests choose us. This first floor holiday apartment features a spacious bedroom with a highly comfortable Queen size luxury pocket sprung bed, modern dressing table and all essential fitted furniture. There is a fully fitted kitchen with ceramic electric hob, electric oven, fridge-freezer, kettle, microwave and all items required for preparing and cooking needs. The bathroom comes with shower, hairdryer & fresh towels. The lounge has a wide screen TV with additional channels, sofa and a solid oak dining table for 3.
With an extensive range of restaurants and attractions close by, Conway Cottage apartment is perfect for a city break. York's Barbican Center, Famous York City Walls & Co-op supermarket are just 4 minutes walk. York Rail Station is 6 minutes’ drive away and has connections to all regions of the United Kingdom. London is only 2 hours away by train. Children over 10 years old are welcomed in this apartment.

from booking to leaving the host of this property has been amazing replying promptly to any inquiry and checking that everything was good. The location on the edge of the city wall allows you to walk to all the attractions in York easily. As an added bonus there is a major supermarket a few minutes walk away. We easily found car parking. The flat is very clean and is well equipped with quality linens, comfortable bed, and a well stocked kitchen. A fan was available as we were there during a heat wave. . We wanted for nothing during our stay and would highly recommend Conway Cottage.

Conway Cottage at Fishergate In York is highly recommended! The cottage is very well kept with everything you need for a comfortable, homey stay in York. Great kitchen that is well appointed and comfortable bed. The cottage is in a super location and an easily walk to city center/old town in York and also York University. Lots of shops/restaurants very close to the cottage. The host is super responsive to any need you have. We will definitely stay at Conway Cottage again on our next visit to York.

We stayed at Conway Cottage three nights while my husband attended a conference at York University. The cottage is very comfortably appointed, located in an ideal location just outside the city within a 15 minute walk of the University and about a 20 minute walk to the center of the City. It was very quiet, but still not far from a bus route, two supermarkets (new Coop and a lovely Waitrose), and restaurants (including Jennys Fish & Chips, and a nice Chinese restaurant). Our hosts were exceptionally thoughtful and helpful. We had a small problem with the shower drain, but it got fixed immediately. Also, the kitchen is very well equipped, internet fast, bed large and very comfortable. All in all, one of the best holiday flats wee stayed in.
