Grounds, restaurant, staff, everything!!

We booked our arrival one day earlier. We actually preferred the room we were in first. The grounds were heavenly. Lived the restaurant and the African decor pieces from her travels!
The second night we were upgraded to a two bedroom apartment. As it turned out we didn’t need the extra space. Plus our first room had a much better view of the grounds.

We stayed for a week in mid-September in an apartment as a base for exploring the local area. I could easily write a thousand words about our stay, but our overriding thoughts are that Mas de Capelou was absolutely perfect. It's pretty remote and on an Island next to Avignon which is mainly agricultural, so it's very quiet and peaceful with only the occasional tractor breaking the peace - fine by me! Avignon is an easy 10 minute drive, with its wonderful history and many good restaurants. The apartment was lovely with everything we needed, the pool was awesome and the cocktails in the on-site Restaurant (which is very popular with the locals too) were a perfect way to end a day. To finish, Valerie and her sons were the perfect hosts - always friendly, helpful and full of suggestions. We will be back...
There was nothing we didn't like to be honest! It's worth being aware that there are mosquitos at night, but then I don't think I've ever been on a holiday without a few bites! Be sensible, spray up, take some bite cream and don't let it put you off.

Great setting and vibe. Peaceful, interesting, inviting venue. Lovingly attended to. Wonderful to be able to pick pears out of the orchard. Apartment was spacious and beautifully decorated. Lots of attention to detail. Dinner venue was an unexpected bonus, a real treat!
Nothing at all, everything was perfect, thanks.

Perfect place to stay, very relaxing atmosphere in the beatiful gardens.
Our host Valerie was most friendly, even when we arrived very early in the morning (as we had discussed prior to our arrival), it was no problem at all for her to welcome us to our family room. The room was beautiful and spacious. Breakfast was also very good, including freshly made Bread and croissants and lots of delicious homemade jam and juices.
The city of Avignon was about ten minutes drive away. We parked on the isle side, and too the free ferry to the city. Our kids loves the ferry ride!

The natural surroundings of Mas de Capelou are beautiful, and the well-equipped kitchen made it feel just like home. It’s a place I’d love to return to when staying in Avignon.
Some of the furniture feels outdated, and the sofa was a bit uncomfortable—updating the furnishings would greatly improve the experience. Also, the on-site restaurant may not be the best choice if you’re looking for a traditional French dinner.

We loved everything about the property, including Valérie, Tom and Jules. It is so relaxing so peaceful. It’s like you’re on a different planet when you’re there absolutely gorgeous and beautiful and you have your own private spaces throughout the property to relax. We also ate at the restaurant twice and the food and drinks are incredible. Jules and Tom (who looks like the actor Andrew Garfield) run it and are the nicest guys.
We had a car and drive to Avignon city, Nîmes to see the Aquaduc Pont de Gord, Saint Remy and Isle la Sorge for the markets. Easy to get everywhere from here. You’ll love it.
Zero. Everything was great

Super comfortable 1 bedroom with extra sleeping loft was perfect for our family of 3. Such a beautiful property nestled into the pear orchard with huge Sycamore trees and lovely grounds. Restaurant, (Tapas and cocktails), was very festive, stylish and tasty. Owners are so friendly and accommodating.
Sadly the mosquitos were pretty brutal in the evening so we couldn’t enjoy the outside as much. Perhaps fans in the outside restaurant would help.

Beautiful setting, easy access to Avignon, delightful hosts.
The only disappointment in our stay was the quality of the wifi connection. Since we have work meetings, this was a bit of a problem. The host was very helpful but the advertised 'fluid' connection wasn't as expected.

Everything was perfect! Valerie had taken great pains to make this hotel one that meets the needs of the traveler in every way with lots of attention to detail including an art room where you can paint. The breakfast was wonderful and included everything needed such as decaf coffee, the grounds were beautiful. The pool was clean and warm enough to swim in. The parking was accessible. The bathroom was large enough. The decor was lovely
We were not crazy about the "shareable dinner" although the food was good. The property was on an island that took some time to get on and off.
