Osaka Guest House U-En

The staff members were friendly and helpful! I enjoyed the tatami style room and found the beds and pillows comfortable. The AC worked well, and the private rooms have locks on the doors which is nice. I enjoyed the lounge area for co-working. I found the area felt safe and was filled with some sweet hole-in-the-wall restaurants. I noticed there were a lot of nice restaurants in the area too, if that interests you!

I found it challenging to sleep one of the two nights due to guests not respecting the quiet hours, but recognize that’s not the hostel’s fault! I felt a little bit farther away from Osaka station than I would have liked to be for day trips and a bit far from more central spots in the city; however, I found the area to be quieter and a nice neighborhood, which was appreciated.

Location was exactly what we wanted. Immersion with on the old streets of Osaka. First time in hostel for us and was a great experiment meeting interesting people. The other attraction the cafe does the best famous curry I have ever tasted and coffee to die for. Big love hearts from us. Thanks to the team for a unforgettable stay xx

This place is an excellent value. The staff are lovely and the location is cute and tucked away. I highly recommend the vegan curry at the cafe, worth checking out for sure! The building is an older building and has its quirks, but in a quaint and fun Osaka kind of way. For a dorm style hostel it is a great place to stay!

The common spaces and dorm style arrangements were quite busy during my stay. It is nice, but I am getting spoiled by staying in private rooms at similar hostels.
