Simple and affordable room with drawbacks, smelly AC, dated facilities

Clean and affordable, kind hosts

Very cramped room and dated facilities. The showerhead kept falling off because it wasn't made for the fixture. Towel fixtures are not usable. Bin in the shower wasn't emptied once in three days. The AC had a mold or mildew problem and kept smelling badly for a few hours before settling. Some smell is expected due to the humidity coming from the sea but the smell should dissipate after a few minutes, not several hours.

Everything you need, perfect for a few days’ relaxation

Seaview location, simple but practical, spotlessly clean, near a lovely pebble beach and nice cafes. The bed was excellent, just the right level of firmness for me. Quiet, didn’t hear the neighbours except on the balcony. The proprietor was very accommodating when I requested an early check in.

I loved it, but for the sake of filling this in, some of the outdated bathroom appliances (shower curtain and towel hooks) could use an upgrade.

Great Place, Would Stay Again

No2 apartment was spacious, modern, and clean. Boasting a large double bedroom with a TV & back patio area, a separate bathroom with shower, sink, & toilet, and a lounge/dining/kitchen area. The kitchen has all facilities featuring an electric hob, kettle, sandwich toaster, fridge, and freezer. Cooking pots, untensils, crockery, glasses, and cutlery are also provided. There are two sofas in the lounge area, which double up as single beds. There is a six seater dining table. There is also a small sun terrace area at the front of the apartment, with seating and a table provided. The staff were polite. Our room was serviced daily with clean towels and bedding. Despite the couple of gripes here, we would stay again.

Our main disappointment was the sun terrace. When we booked, it was insinuated, we thought, that the sun terrace was a private area. By which we mean that no one else in the building would be able to see you on it. We had thought that we would be getting the apartment directly above us, which boasts such an area. Certainly, that's what we thought we had paid for with the cost of the stay. We appreciate that our hosts did attempt to move us to another room that would have afforded more privacy, but all that was available was a small studio. However, a table and two chairs were provided for us on the small patio area to the rear of our bedroom. The only other letdown was the sun canopy. All of the other rooms had canopies separate to the room. However, we shared a larger canopy with the adjacent room. So, if we wanted to adjust it, we had to go on to the next room's terrace to where it could be wound out or back in again.

I arrived when it was dark so didn't see the bell at the gate which you have to ring to get the keys. I tried the phone number for the property but couldn't get connection. After shouting hello a few times the lady appeared from next door with the keys. Perhaps it should be mentioned that you need to ring the bell as if you do arrive in the dark you don't notice it!

The view, the size of the one-bedroom apartment and the well equipped kitchen. If you're planning to stay in Paleochora for a while and want to cook in your room the kitchen would be perfect.

The bathroom. If you take a shower the water goes everywhere. The shower curtain doesn't go all the way to the floor. So you're left with a swimming pool. Old and dated bathroom. Sandpaper for towels. See through curtains that let in the light when you want to sleep.

Simple, clean apartment with great sea view

View from the terrace was fab! Kitchen was well equipped (although could do with a chopping board) Soula and Ellen were very friendly and responded quickly to our request for an extra lamp. Lots of hot water and powerful shower! In a nice quiet location about 5 minute walk into the centre of the things. Would happily stay again :)

WiFi was a bit patchy at times. Sofa bed had a hard ridge in the middle so wasn't very comfortable to sleep on when flat.

Stunning sea view in a fully-equipped room

The room is very nice and comfortable. It has a very nice view of the sea, with a small balcony equipped with table and chairs. The room is very well equipped with anything you could need: a hair dryer, a fully-equipped kitchenette with a small fridge, a kettle, a toaster, cutlery, etc. And of course it is air-conditioned! We particularly enjoyed the peace and silence during the night, as well as the stunning view of the sea!

Wi-fi is not very stable. Additionally, whilst the bathroom is renovated, shower pipes are a bit clogged and sometimes there could be some flooding on the shower floor. However, it is worth saying that this is a very common problem in all Palaiochora.

Very large balcony with a lowered canopy from the sun., Good kitchen with all facilities and utensils. Spacious rooms, laundry, towels, bins changed regularly. Nice view out to sea and the crocodile. Lots of hot water. Ease of parking in service road. Airconditioning good and included in price.

Poor Wifi only 1.2 Mbps, own 4g better at 3.5 Mbps. Hinge broken on wardrode. Entrance door lock damaged. 4" grill in middle of shower/toilet room fell in to hole, replaced but still loose and springs out if trod on and dangerous.

A nice place to stay in Paleochora.

The view from the balcony was amazing. Clean apartment with lots of warm water for showering. There was an electric kettle and sandwich grill. The AC worked well and the beds, while firm, were comfortable. The location was quiet at night but not too far from restaurants.

There were only two electrical outlets and the placement for them was a little off. Only one reading lamp by the bed.

Ruhige Lage, schönen Blick auf das Meer vom Balkon aus . In der Küche haben wir alles nötige vorgefunden, um ein Frühstück zuzubereiten. Die Wohnung wurde jeden Tag gereinigt.

Zum Strand läuft man gut 20 Minuten.
