Itinere Rooms

Second stay at Itinere Rooms. This time we were on the 4th floor in the newly refurbished rooms, so lovely. Such a spacious room and comfortable linen. Loved it

Really nice place. Spotless and modern bathrooms and kitchen. Great views from our room. Everything was surprisingly great.

Location was good, you could walk the main attractions from Itinere hostel. Parking was around the block, very convenient and 15 euros per day. We loved using the “James Bond”, in the center of the staircase old style elevator. The room with private bathroom was nice and roomy enough. Having a shared kitchen if needed was ok as people did not use it late, otherwise it would have been quite noisy. The staff were very friendly and easily reachable when the need arose. Someone was parked in our designated parking spot when we arrived and they promptly answered and advised us on what to do. Very clean as well.

Honestly, our stay was very disappointing and I would not recommend this place. The building is extremely old and there was a strong, unpleasant sewage smell coming from the bathroom throughout our stay. After showering, the windows would steam up so badly that water would drip and make the floor wet, which was clearly due to the old, poorly insulated windows. Overall, it was very uncomfortable. The bedding situation was unacceptable. The sheets were very thin despite the cold weather, and we found blood on them. While the host did provide a new blanket after I messaged her, the fact that there was blood on the sheets in the first place is concerning. Even then, no thicker blanket was provided and it was freezing at night. One of the heaters was broken and wouldn’t turn on. When I mentioned this, I was told to use the AC heater instead, which did not warm the room at all. This was not a reasonable solution. Additionally, maintenance work was carried out directly in front of our door without any prior warning. When stepping outside to get water, there was a stranger standing right outside our door making loud banging noises, which was unsettling and disruptive. We were also overcharged for parking. We were told parking was charged on a 24-hour basis. Since we arrived at 7pm and paid for three full days, we should have been able to park until 7pm on the day of departure. Instead, we were charged for an extra day anyway. On top of that, we were repeatedly pressured—three times—to pay the parking fee in cash, without being informed beforehand that cash was the only accepted method. Despite explaining that we would pay at the end, we were still pestered about it. While this may be a cheap place to stay, it is absolutely not worth it. It felt very clear that money was the host’s main priority, not guest comfort or experience.
