Absolute best stay! We will definitely be back! We had the best experience at Fu Chang Hotel! The 24-hour front desk made our check-in incredibly smooth and efficient. All of the staff members who work the rotations are so accommodating, polite, and helpful. The location is super convenient and very easy to find on Google Maps, with easy access for Ubers and taxis. It's incredibly close to everything—7-Eleven, Ximending, shopping malls, and endless food spots are just steps away. Our room was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the AC works amazingly well (sometimes too well, we had to turn it off!). Despite being close to everything, the room is perfectly quiet and blocks out all traffic noise. The shower was also a highlight with great hot water. The hospitality here is unmatched. They will gladly call a regular metered taxi for you that arrives in just 2–3 minutes. I especially want to thank the wonderful lady with short hair at the desk for being so generous and kind to us. They also offer a safe luggage storage area for before check-in or after check-out. Thank you for an amazing stay!

If you're looking for a sign to book that hotel near Ximending, this is it! 🫶 Stayed here for my birthday trip and it completely exceeded expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so warm and welcome—they were genuinely helpful throughout our stay (shoutout to the sweetest manager who made our mornings extra special!). Location-wise, it’s just a few minutes away from the main Ximending area, which saved us so much time and energy after a long day of exploring. The room itself was super cozy: comfortable bed with extra pillows (lifesaver for exhausted travelers!), air-conditioned, and even came with a mini-refrigerator and free coffee. The hot shower with a bathtub at the end of a tiring day was absolute heaven. 🛁✨ Clean, convenient, and felt like a home away from home. 10/10 would stay here again! 🤍🇹🇼

The staff was so kind and helpful. They offered us rain jackets for the storm for free, water, and treats. I found the Wi-Fi was a bit difficult to navigate one side figured out the working one it worked great. You couldn’t ask for a better location. Right next to major lines that connect throughout the city and many major attractions from night markets to shopping districts to temples and museums. AC worked great and the room was comfortable enough. The only reason I didn’t give it a cleanliness rating of 5 stars was the ants that were coming through a window in the lobby.

The reason I still recommend it is because you do save a certain amount of money by being here that you wouldn’t get at another place. I cannot emphasize enough how great the staff is. Always kind, willing to help and accommodate, and always greeting us good morning and good evening. However, the facilities aren’t up to par. It’s older, there’s some damages here and there, and there was a smell of cigarettes that unfortunately persisted throughout our entire stay. One of the only redeeming factors is their separation of dry and wet areas in their bathrooms, which was a huge importance for me. It was particularly difficult to find affordable hotels that can make that accommodation. With that being said, I actually thought the location was alright. Close enough to the main Ximen area where the hustle and bustle is, but just far enough away to get away from the madness. You’re also right in front of a temple, which I found to be a great blessing to see every morning and every evening. So keep in mind what the pros and cons are. If your focus is spending money more on experiences and the activities Taiwan has to offer and less on the quality of your hotel, then yes, please come to FuChang Hotel. The people who work there are excellent. They will do what they can do to make your stay as best as possible. And we will never ever forget how great they were. However, if you put a lot of importance on your hotel experience, then it would be worth looking somewhere else.
