Black Swan Hostel Barcelona

Had a good time and stay, all staff was so friendly and welcoming, specially Ali, who helps a lot to people to get connected with each other. There was free dinner every day creating a friendly environment in the kitchen.

Toilet cabinets were too small but they don’t have much they can do about that I guess. Sometimes there was strong smell in the hallways.

Comfortable beds, fitted with curtain, plug, light and good pillow. Fast wi-fi. Spacious-ish kitchen with two fridges, good saucepans, plenty of free stuff. Comfy seating areas on ground and second floor. Helpful staff. Socials organised if you want to join. Room was air conditioned and it was the perfect temperature. Near to a Lidl and Dia.

The hostel only has 4 toilets for men and they are tiny !! - you have to be a contortionist to use them, and they get dirty because they are so small. More shower cubicles (6 or 7), which are great, but the shower area is airless and hot. The doors to rooms slam, so hopefully people will keep hold of them as they close and shut them quietly. The blanket ontop of bed seems to get reused as it didn't go in the laundry basket (?). Swap the bunk locker numbers for their respective beds, so that the one for the top bunk is by the steps and vic-a-versa.

The property was clean, SAFE & welcoming! The receptionists Laia, Ahlem, Nico and Ali are all so friendly, understanding, respectful, and patient! The receptionists try their hardest to accommodate your stay and truly make your experience enjoyable! The property has amazing SOCIAL events to create memories with amazing travelers all alike! I truly enjoyed my time! I brought my own bath towel but there are bath towels for purchase. I recommend to bring a lock and key to store your luggage in the room. The dinner is yummy and free! I stayed for 6 nights in an all girls room and there are no regrets!

I loved it all! Just bring your own hand sanitizer and keep yourself clean. You are sharing rooms with other girlies and dudes.

*Location, it’s in a good location to reach the main attractions quickly * I stayed in a 6 bed room with a good layout and size. The balcony was accessible and a nice feature to have

*Air conditioning at full flast during the night when the outdoor temperature was 17 degrees Celsius *Kitchen has only very old pots and pans *Room floors are not cleaned *There are only male 4 toilets for everyone. The toilets cubicles are tiny, the door is very close to the seat, one door does not close. * there is no outdoor area, even though there is.a small patio in the middle. The only windows are in the rooms. So if you’re not in a room you cannot see the outside.
