Yokikan

Great staff. Wonderful onsen upstairs on the tram. The food is typical/ traditional Japanese— much of it we had never imaged.

The facilities are a bit rundown, but the end is 116 years old

Lovely traditional ryokan, great location just 12min walk from the train station. Staff were so nice and helpful. The outdoor onsen was magical! And the dinners glorious. Room was very spacious.

It was raining heavily when we stayed there and our bed sheets had a musty smell to them which was quite unpleasant. Probably doesn’t happen when the weather is dry, but the hotel is quite old and probably needs a bit of renovation/insulation.

This was my first ryokan experience in Japan, and it couldn't have been better! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They kindly showed me around and provided all the necessary instructions. My room was spacious and bright, and both breakfast and dinner featured delicious traditional Japanese cuisine. And, of course, the highlight of my stay was the hot spring, especially the outdoor onsen! Thank you so much for your hospitality! I hope to visit again someday!

Everything was great

Overall a pretty good authentic Japanese experience. The outdoor onsen was really good. And I really enjoyed the sea view from my room. Also, the employees were nice and always ready to help.

I really didn’t like the food, most of it was just tasteless. Such a disappointment, i was so eager to try some great authentic food. And in general not the best value for money.
