Hotel Riva Kaštela with swimming pool

The location was perfect.Good size verandah. Beach across the quiet road. Nice swimming pool

THE BREAKFAST.For the first 2 mornings.only cold food.No gas,we found out on day number 2. On day three there was cooked food,BUT the eggs would have been sitting there for about an hour The greasy bacon was only half cooked.The bread to put in toaster would be the cheapest you could buy.The fruit salad straight from a can.Everyday same inedible lot. The lady doing the cooking and serving needs to be fired. Worst food ever in a hotel.

Our superior room was very clean and spacious with very comfortable bed. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming. Location was good close to seafront with nice swimming from pebble beach. Swimming pool small but very clean.

Apart from breakfast which was average, there was no bar or restaurant for food at lunchtime or in the evening (contrary to what was suggested on Booking.com). Only five or six sunbeds by the pool when the hotel has many bedrooms, so difficult to get a sunbed until late afternoon. Unfortunately there is a half built building in front of the hotel which partially obstructs the sea view.

A região de Riva Kastela é muito agradável e o hotel tem bons restaurantes bem perto.

É distante de Split, mas mesmo assim, estando de carro, vale a pena.

Not much, maybe the high ceilings. Oh, and there’s a phenomenal restaurant Mare Mora close by.

We had an infestation of fruit flies (no, we had no food in the room). Yes, the staff sprayed when we told them but no one likes killing 100 flies before bed. Perhaps because of the kitchen and patio right below us you could smell smoke all the time. Also, no fitted sheets which baffles me. Breakfast was also quite sparse and the restaurant staff blamed a big party for coming to eat right before us (we were not late, they weren’t prepared). The tiny pool they have is an ice box.
