Hotel Riva Kaštela with swimming pool

The location was superb - like 5m to the beach. Not so crowded and quite quiet.

There is no cafe/restaurant in the hotel, so you need to go to nearby places for lunch or dinner

Reception staff were all very friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely and the pool was great. The locality was also fantastic - quiet but enough facilities and close to the bus route. Also, our team loved the pillows and the aircon was so welcome after being out in the heat.

There was a lot of noise in the mornings (staff cleaning and outside noise). Breakfast was slightly limited but we all ate well.

Not much, maybe the high ceilings. Oh, and there’s a phenomenal restaurant Mare Mora close by.

We had an infestation of fruit flies (no, we had no food in the room). Yes, the staff sprayed when we told them but no one likes killing 100 flies before bed. Perhaps because of the kitchen and patio right below us you could smell smoke all the time. Also, no fitted sheets which baffles me. Breakfast was also quite sparse and the restaurant staff blamed a big party for coming to eat right before us (we were not late, they weren’t prepared). The tiny pool they have is an ice box.
