Slim pickings in silloth for a stay and sadly was poor, wouldn’t stay again and it’s a shame as it could be so much more

The outside looks beautiful and promising. The staff were accommodating with changes we needed

Dirty sheets in first room, they kindly let us move rooms, bad smells in the whole building, every floor had a slightly different but bad smell. Breakfast was covered in syrup, ordered bacon and eggs, bacon was smothered in syrup. Daughter had pancakes and Nutella but they covered them in syrup too so was way to sweet she couldn’t eat them. Hotel rooms were freezing and was told they can’t afford to have the heat on all the time, the heat comes on a timer but not long enough to take the chill off, water pressure was awful and went off mid shower while I was covered in soap! We definitely were appreciative of the room move from the top floor to the 1st but overall one of the worst stays I’ve ever had in a hotel. Staff we spoke to were lovely but they are up against it as the hotel is poor

Breakfast was super plenty of variety , cereals, fruit, cooked breakfast, toast and tea or coffee

Tables being left with dirty plates on them for the duration of having breakfast, not a good look and not that busy not to be able to clear tables. That only happened on one occasion but to be honest not a nice thing to walk into a breakfast room and see

Very good.

This was my second stay at this hotel and as previously the staff were really pleasant and helpful The breakfast was really good. I ate in the restaurant again the food was good. An added bonus was an extra heater was in the room if needed as the weather was so cold. Over all very pleasant stay.

Lovely setting overlooking the green

The bedroom was atractively furnished and comfortable. The bed was particularly comfortable. The view from the large bedroom window was lovely. The hot drink facilities were great and the room was qarm despite the sudden cold snap.

The bathroom was very tired looking. The shower was cramped with poor pressure and the hot water was warm at best. The bathroom itself was freezing cold.

Golf Amazing - Hotel Woeful

That it was close to the Golf Course - nothing else.

This place is woeful. Only one member of staff visable at a time and they were not welcoming or friendly. The same member of staff checked us in, served us drinks, served us food. Room not cleaned once during 3 night stay, shower barely worked, bed was one of the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in.

Was very much like Faulty Towers

One of the servers for breakfast was really nice and pleasent and had a play with my daughters slime kit was really nice to see a softside as she looked ever so serious

I did not like my room up in the attic it felt cold and damp and killed me walking upto it as i have rheumatoid arthritis and it killed my knees

Location, location, location

The location, and in fairness there have been a number of improvements since I stayed about four years ago

I could list a number of things but it wouldn’t help anyone. If you arrive in Silloth you are there for one reason to play golf. Go to The Bank restaurant, which is terrific and matches the links. It is fabulous place to play and eat - and an ok place to sleep.

Drinks and food were good. Room and bed clean and comfortable bathroom was immaculate but didn't have any grab rails to aid entry/exit to the bath shower was good tho.

There was no disabled room but they give us a room on 1st floor. The hotel looks tired and needs a lock of paint.

Nice seaside hotel

Excellent location in the centre of Silloth. Nice, clean room with comfortable bed. Our room seemed to have been recently refurbished. Spacious bathroom with walk-in shower. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Had dinner with family in the bar one evening. Enjoyed our meal- good pub food.

Found the first night a bit noisy with lorries leaving the nearby flour mill during the night. Road outside is cobbled.

The stay was adequate for what I required.

Convenient location close to where I needed to be. The room was adequate and clean. The bed comfy. Breakfast on second day- just fried eggs on toast was lovely.

The breakfast on my first morning was poor. Overcooked, chewy food. Coffee bitter. Staff sullen. The water pressure was not good and meant trickle of a cold shower. WiFi non existent in my room.

We’re glad we stayed for our one day of golf at Silloth.

Close to Silloth Golf Club. Beautiful little location. Staff fantastic, Dinner was superb and only good place in town to eat. Great bar. In a hurry for breakfast and they made a breakfast roll to go! Room was quiet on upper floor #18.

Poor plumbing water pressure. Not much hot water at 5:30-6 a.m. Parking can be challenging on busy days.
