There was a display of various cereals, banana or pastry.
No hot breakfast at The Old Rectory.
The website for access to the property as no staff on site after 6pm!
The app for access doesn't work!! clearly they know this as it stated if code doesn't work cut and paste to URL on mobile !!! Not everyone is good with technology!!

Beautiful house, tastefully decorated - a must for William Morris fans. Attractive grounds with with great outdoor seating.
Immaculately clean throughout.
Plenty of hot water and great shower and en-suite.
Clean bedding.
Advertised as a hotel - not accurate more like an Air B n B.
No staff present in the hotel. No one at Reception desk or available for check in or departure. Use of WhatsApp by staff for communication - not something customers. would think to check.
Keycode difficult to operate especially in the darkness- light needed.
Room very hot. Bed hard - new mattress needed.
Breakfast - whilst I have no problem with Continental this was VERY poor!!
No juice, no jam , no butter or margarine, no bread. No toaster .
Badly thought out - no tea or coffee downstairs. No kettle or water to make instant porridge. No choice of cereal only cornflakes. A few fruit which had seen better days. Loads of sweets ! Why ? 😂 Beer for breakfast ? Really ?
Note to the owners - you potentially have a really good product here - but guests who are not here for a reception of some sort are obviously not valued! Can you really afford to lose customers because of lack of attention to detail? I understand return customers make up an important part of the hotel trade - but I for one won’t be returning !
