Really interesting building with history and character, but with modern and up-to-date facilities and furnishings. The Amore Restaurant is worth a visit, even if you’re not staying- really friendly waiting staff and a very reasonable, delicious and varied menu.
The nature of the historic building means that the main entrance has several high steps. However, we were able to access the hotel easily and in one level via the restaurant entrance.

Location, staff polite and beds was very comfortable
Room 10 had no heating on evening we stayed and it was -2 outside. This was reported twice but it was still not working. The breakfast was average choice, requested a sausage sandwich when it came sausage appeared to be undercooked
