The hotel staff was extremely accommodating, kind and warm.
There weren't that many and any shortcomings that might have been there were overcome by the wonderful hotel staff.

Overall a regular bland Marriott with a negative twist.
Apparently, in Spain, 4-star hotels do not provide valet services/assistance. I am one of those that carries my own bags always. However, this was a family vacation with a 6-year old and a pregnant wife. We had four heavy suitcases. Imagine my surprise, when after the taxi driver unloaded them, and I went it to ask for help, the gentlemen at the reception desk cheerfully (!) informed me that in Spain, 4-start hotel do not provide valet services to their guests, and therefore, I can enjoy myself handling the luggage all on my own after a 20-hour journey from Asia. Funnily, having a valet's help loading and unloading luggage was my primary reason for not getting a better value-for-money AirBnB. Hope this is helpful for someone in a similar situation.
