The location and the price

Unfortunately, our stay started with a very poor check-in experience that left a lasting negative impression. Upon arrival (around 6–7 PM), we were not greeted at the door, and no one assisted with our luggage. We had multiple heavy bags and had to carry them ourselves all the way to the reception. The lobby was empty, with no queue, yet the check-in process was extremely disorganized and slow. We were checked in by a staff member named Claudio, who appeared confused and unprepared. Despite having a confirmed booking, we were asked for our reservation details and reference number multiple times, which was frustrating. The process took far longer than expected, especially considering there were two staff members present and no other guests waiting. Our room allocation was also disappointing. We were given rooms on two different floors, despite traveling together, and there was no attempt to accommodate our request for at least a decent view. Additionally, there was no iron in the room, which is a basic amenity we expected. While the rooms were clean, they were quite small, and the bathrooms were very tight, with limited space and minimal amenities overall. On top of that, there was persistent noise of an unknown source throughout the night, which made it very difficult to sleep and significantly affected our comfort. That said, we would like to give credit where it’s due. The night before checkout, a staff member named Gianfranco was genuinely helpful and professional. He assisted us in arranging transportation, ensured our luggage was properly handled and loaded into the van the next morning, and clearly explained the pricing and payment methods. His friendliness and efficiency stood out and were much appreciated. In summary, the main issue was the check-in experience, along with the nighttime noise, both of which were poorly handled and disappointing. The checkout support partially redeemed the stay, but overall, the experience fell below expectations.
