Hermitage Resort & Thermal Spa

Beds comfortable and great size. Outside thermal pool with views of castle. Coffee was good. Clean and lots of space around inside and out. Lady on reception was knowledgeable and excellent. Air con worked well in room.

Breakfast was average, some good options but far too many pastries and better savoury options would be good. Location is ok but nothing special. Ended up walking further than expected to get to main town.

Big room with great view. Very comfortable bed and good location. Lovely breakfast and nice pool.

Hotel offered to call us a taxi and gave us an estimated price but when we were charged it was 45% more expensive as the taxi driver charged us from the hotel call and started the meter- very annoying so be wary when booking taxis through the hotel. We reported no soap in our room and was assured it would be refilled- we left still with no soap!

The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to guide us.

The bed wasn’t comfortable. It was soft.

The staff seemed unprepared for hosting guests outside of a big group that was at the hotel at the same time. There was no place to get food or even purchase drinks (not even water) anywhere in the hotel and the staff didn't seem to know or have an option for us other than walking into town. Of note, there were two bars but neither were open at any point during our stay. I've never stayed anywhere, peak or off-peak, that didn't have a food or beverage option outside of a sit down, coursed meal that needed to be reserved and was in a crowded cafeteria type setting. Further, getting towels for the pool required a lengthy process a few floors down in the hotel spa which seemed totally inefficient to have to go pick up and drop off at the end of a stay. Finally, the hotel advertises thermal baths but does not say the age of which youths can use the facilities (we had mature teens that were interested but turned away) or account for the hotel guests because we had to insist on a 45-minute time slot for just 4 of us to use the sauna/steam room during a 2-day stay as that was all that wasn't "full". I was very disappointed.
