The Study at University City

The room was spartan, minimalistic. Bathroom and room were clean and had the minimum listed in the website.

It was not my usual experience at The Study hotels.

Location and restaurant are ideal for visiting my child at school. Front desk staff is very friendly.

Room was very worn and needed refreshing. The bathroom needs reworking - no counter space or closet space is incredibly inconvenient. Restaurant staff was very rude. I know it’s Philly - but hey: don’t scoff when my son says good morning to you.

The physical hotel itself and hoe clean it was.

I had such a great time, that I bought a robe; but the staff gave me the robe without a tie. When I emailed them to mail me the missing tie, they ignored me and never fixed their mistake.

Double rooms should have queen beds. Full beds are too small for two people. In the bathroom there should be a shelf to put your toiletry bag, there's just a sink, no where to put anything. Toiletry bag has to sit in the room. There should be an outlet at the nightstand so you can charge a phone. Closest outlet is across the room. Also, I didn't know my card was going to be charged $100 for incidentals, I assumed it was just a "hold". I used my bank card so I'm out the $100 until it gets reimbursed, which they said could be 5 days.
