The Alexander Inn was adorable! I had a room with a quirky layout: double bed and a single, great for rearranging bags. This was my home base for a weekend and I loved the neighborhood restaurants and bakeries within a 10 minute walk. I did not have a car, the lack of valet and on-site parking did not affect my decision-making.

Whenever we visit Philadelphia, The Alexander Inn is where we stay, and it has never let us down. The location is ideal. The historic sites, great restaurants, and lively bars are all within walking distance, so we park the car and explore the city on foot.
After a full day out, it's a comfortable, welcoming place to come back to. If you want to be close to everything Philly has to offer, this is the spot.
We'll keep coming back.

The place is located in a great spot. We walked the whole district on foot. The staff was pleasant, but not informative.
The listing said free parking, but I wound up having to pay $*** for less than 48 hours. The listing said free breakfast, but it was just dry granola and yogurt cups. The hotel offers a wine social, but the selection was slim, cheap, and not even local.
The beds were hard as granite, and water pressure was a dribble. The pillows and sheets were nice. The towels were rough.
