About this apartment rental
Once a prince residence, this XVIIth building is situated in the best part of Le Marais, among palaces and museums. The apartment has high ceilings, oak parquet and huge French windows. It has been tastefully restored by a trendy architect and combines authentic elegance with the latest equipment and comfort.
The place is full of sun light with 12-feet (4 meter) high French windows on each side. It has a 600 sq. ft (60m2)) living room ,a dining room with a spectacular state-of-the art Bulthaup kitchen. and 3 suites.
Each of the 3 suites can accomodate 2 people. The master suite has 2 storeys. Its lower floor can take 1 extra baby crib or be turned into a training area. The "blue suite" has a "floating bed" and a huge 17th century cabinet, once part of an Italian castle ; the "black and white" suite has a duplex walk-in dressing.
Each bedroom has its own private shower room with separate toilet.
The equipment is "state-of-the art : reversible air conditioning, central heating, wi-fi, cable TVs, the most advanced kitchen equipment and lots of antiques and contemporary art.
There is no elevator. However, there is a grand marble staircase with an XVIIth century wrought iron handrail that will easily take you one floor up, where the apartment is located.
Most buildings in our street are XVIIth and XVIIIth century, many of them being aristocratic mansions now turned into museums (like Carnavalet, next door, or the Picasso), Gov. offices or apartments. Typical restaurantsn bars and elegant boutiques are plenty. The district is "pedestrians only" on Sundays with street bands playing. The "Rainbow district" is a few blocks away.
The apartment is located in the historical heart of Paris (Le Marais), a few steps away from "Place des Vosges" and at walking distance from most interesting monuments and museums such as Notre-Dame, the Pompidou, Louvre, Carnavalet, Picasso, bibliothèque nationale and many other museums.
Transport is easy. Nearesy subway station is Saint-Paul. From there, line 1 that takes you to Le Louvre in 5mn, Place de la Concorde and Champs-Elysées in 10 mn and La Défense business district in 15 mn. Many bus stops serve the distict as well. You can also try "Velib" (self-serve bike system).

The location; the apartment layout, including a terrific living room and kitchen/dining. Beds are comfortable. The small bathrooms are a bit of a challenge, but doable.

Excellent apartment with many amenities. Location is within walking distance of many shops, restaurants and interesting historical sites. Uber trips made it easy to get anywhere you want in 30 minutes or less. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a trouble-free stay in a great location.

We had a fantastic stay in this lovely flat. Communication with Alain Serge was easy from beginning to end. We couldn’t have asked for a more well located, beautiful place to stay. Perfect for exploring. We enjoyed the shops, museums and restaurants all within walking distance. There’s a Monoprix just a few minutes walk away. The kitchen was well outfitted. We loved the ability to have breakfast together in the morning before heading off for the day. And the air conditioning in the bedrooms came in very handy as it got quite warm during our stay. Loved our stay and look forward to coming back.
