An amazing and super social place to stay!!

A great Hostel, the owner is a gem of a person. The atmosphere is super social and there are lots of group activities that you can book through the hostel to meet people. It’s right in the center of town, but in a quiet back street, absolutely perfect! One of the best hostels I have stayed in.

So far not bad for short stay

Environment is not bad and got free breakfast but need to improve facilities especially the shower pump, water power is not strong and temperature is super hot, not adjustable

I enjoyed my stay. I was accommodated all through out my stay which I liked!

I like the place. It does not have a lot of amenities but the friendliness of the staff and the location are already enough for me to recommend this place. The rooms are nice too and well-thought of. There is privacy even if they only offer bunk beds.

There's nothing I didn't like per se of whatever the hostel had to offer. Although I wish there was a pool, I think the appeal of the place which was quiet, peaceful and tranquil place would be ruined if there was a pool here in my opinion. It's already perfect.

My first experience in a homestay: super greatful

Couldn’t recommend it more, greatly enjoyed my stay.

Saw the glowing reviews just before I went there and they were right, dorms are cool and have nice curtain for privacy, bathroom was clean with locker and the family who runs it is lovely. Not a party hostel- nice place to chill as there are only 2 dorms from what I’ve seen.

Shower temperature wasn’t great- either cold or way too hot and basic kitchen but comes with free breakfast to sweeten the deal

I booked it for a day, put my luggage there and came back at night to checkout, tge family was very kind and caring. it

The room is lovely, the bed really comfy and spacious ! bathroom nice and tidy. It is in a very silent area and you feel save as a woman travelling alone.

I loved everything about this hostel. Maybe the best one I’ve stayed ever. Every little detail of the way the hostel was build is thought out perfectly. You can tell that the owner loves architecture and to be a good host. Very sociable and friendly and super skill full, offers a variety of tours and helps you out with anything you need. I loved my stay there and would recommend 100%. the most comfortable beds with special curtains for maximum privacy. Just perfect !! Thank you so much for having us, we wish you all the best. The great traditional Bali design house with the warm heart service. That makes you home. Good location to go anywhere. the room is clean, not smelly at all. even the bed of the mix dorm is strong and comfortable.

Sunshine Vintage is absolutely amazing! Nick and his family are so kind and actually care about your experience & will help you as best they can. The breakfast in the morning is great. Its a decent size compared to other hostels and always comes with fresh fruit! It’s also very clean… Nick and his family are always cleaning and the room is so quiet you actually get a great sleep! The black out blinds on each bed also really helps with that! It has a great family feel and is super chilled in a perfect part of Ubud, just a few minutes away from the Yoga Barn and local shops, atms, etc

Nick is a wonderful host who immediately makes you feel welcome and comfortable, because of this the general vibe at the guesthouse is inclusive and fun. I made friends quickly and really enjoyed my stay, so much so that I stayed a week longer than intended. I will be back the next time I travel to Ubud.

It would be great to have a larger social area for guests to congregate outside of the dorm rooms. While there is a small kitchen and dining area, the space can feel quite cramped. This is less of a criticism and more of an observation - this is a home, a family lives here and they're sharing this space with guests. If you are looking for accomodation with a large social space to relax and hang out late and perhaps drink without disturbing others, then this is not the guesthouse for you.
