Suratthani Airport TJ Night Boat To Koh Tao

Clean, convenient and comfortable. Great way to get to Koh Tao and wake up in Paradise.

Felt a little bit more pricy booking through booking.com a month ago and found few other travellers who booked directly on arrival day at airport paid lesser compared to us. Not fair :( We informed earlier that we are couple and need bed next to each other but during check in they just simple give some random bed numbers and said it's full. Wait, we booked a month ago hmm. . Anyway rest of it was very comfortable.

Clean and had plug points, pillow and blanket. Spacious and comfortable.

The night boat is an old run down boat with very basic sleeping accommodation. There are dorm style bunkbeds sleeping maybe 40 people per room, and some toilets out on deck. A small pillow and blanket provided. It was cheap and got me from Surat Thani to Koh Tao by early morning instead of waiting for day boat and losing 8 hours of my first day. The last day boat was full up I believe but I had chosen the night boat. It was only about 1/3 full I thinks. We all left our suitcases/backpacks out on deck and our shoes. This is not luxury in any way-- but the toilets were actually better than many I found in Thailand thereafter! I felt safe as a sole female traveller which is important.

I get seasick and don't really like being rocked from side to side but hey it was a boat! The pillow/sheet/cover etc could be a bit better quality/cleaner.
