Villa Marina - Como lake

The rooms was splendid, The style of the hotel is classical and discreetly comfortable. Breakfast is fabulous, the hot tub excellent and the staff could not be more helpful.

We had a lovely stay at Villa Marina. The B&B was quiet and peaceful. It was a little bit of a walk from main town of Bellano, but not too bad. I only wish I had realized when we were coming in with our luggage so I could get a taxi. The hostess was very helpful and sweet with everything we needed and even had a welcome bottle of prosecco for us. Breakfast was very good and lots of options as well.

The villa is historic, so with that comes some quirks (small room, no bidet or tub, the shower was small), but nothing bad. We really liked our stay and our room was cozy and had everything we needed. The bed was comfy and good wifi, even had a mini fridge in the room which is not that common in Europe! I wish the location was a little closer to town and the train station, but it was not too bad of a walk. Only thing to note is that the garden pictures online of the outdoor space were a little misleading, as that space was closed off since they are building an apartment complex next to the Villa. The terrace, beach and other spaces were available as expected though.

The potential is there, and the staff is doing its best.

The photographs on this hotel’s website and Insta promise beautiful lake views and a garden retreat — unhurried and established. The lake views are genuine; but the garden has become a construction site. Access to all rooms is along a busy road rather than through the hotel — permanent, unmentioned, and difficult to reconcile with the boutique charm being sold.
