Cuando llegamos el aire acondicionado estaba apagado y el calor era insoportable,recién en la madrugada se aclimato

On arrival I was greeted by Desiree , who I got to know a bit before arriving . She was friendly and helpful in all matters relating to reveiving me at the apartment . The apartment is situated in the central place in Menton - near to the shops, pharmacies, doctors. It is very quiet , because it sits high up on the 4 th floor in an old beautiful building in a pedestrian only street . Access to the apartments is by a very nifty lift ~ stairs are nice, but with luggage and groceries I found the lift very user-friendy. The apartment has been very practically renovated and it worked for me in aspects . The salle a douce is clinical and modern and I like the way natural light which comes through the glass windown on top of the door . I also appreciated the aircon which works very well and quietly . Very effective when it gets very warm outside. The kitchen is also practical although I founf the knives and forks too small and almost out of place in this well appointed place . But that is just a little personal thing with me . The bed and all pillows are very comfortable. They use cotton only bedding ~ something I really appreciated. Two beaches are quite near , but but this time I prefered the beach where you simply cross the pedestrian street and slip through the alley on the other side . A few meters takes you to cross the street and , voila ! The beach .... right there. A special note of appreciation for the welcome pack with a pasta meal , wine , tea, coffee which was presented to me . There was also most of the basics like salt , pepper, vinegar, olive oil, toilet paper, washing machine pods ect available. As I used of the stock, I simply replaced it for the following person . The apartment also has an Aid Kit with helpful items in it . This help a lot when I hurt my knee and needed plaster ... this as well I replaced as I used and added some other items .

There is really nothing I personally did not like about the apartment. Although, when my son visited me for a week he did bump his head once against one of the beams . After a fair warning , it was ok. So , take care of the beams . I am not so tall , so no problem for me .

Great location close to the beach, shops and cafes

Low roofs, having to duck the whole time, super low loft bedroom, room very hot, air con don’t work great, kitchen missing a few important items
