This is our favourite place to stay in Northern Bali

It’s quaint and charming and quiet, but still close enough to the beach. The bed was so comfortable!!! Breakfast was tasty. The staff and owner were really nice! And there were no problems with mosquitoes. We will be back next month!

A lovely homestay away from home

Great communication before arrival...☎️... lovely accommodation with attention to details... very quiet ..💤 rent a bike, join the snorkel trip: easy 😎 ... dinner was good.. overall we'd always come back. 🛵... Be aware: you need a scooterto explore the area !

Lovely homestay in real balinese village. Clean room with very comfy bed. Restaurant is on the premises and if you need something they will organise it for you without any problems. Also -the village itself is nice and lively.

Cute, but very simple and “rustic”

Free room upgrade which was great! I stayed in one of the two little cabins which were relatively new. The mosquito net was a great addition and very much needed. A/C was ok. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was very dark inside and lighting not great. Lots of mosquitoes in both the bedroom and the bathroom. It’s a decent walk to cafes/resorts for food. There was a lot of water supply issues and we lost water for 3 out of 4 nights. While fixed the next day, I’m not sure if this is normal for north Bali or if it was just unlucky for us.

Excellent room close to beautiful ocean areas.

First impressions at "reception" weren't great however the room was excellent with big bathroom and terrace balcony. Plenty of power points for charging was a bonus. The young boys looked after us by driving us everywhere we needed to go on the back of their motorbikes and during the Bali power outage the staff went out of their way to rig up lighting via their generator.

The reception area is a bit ordinary hence my first impression being not good.

Okay for a budget option

This place is okay if on a budget but we had no water in the bathroom 2 mornings in a row. It was fixed by our return each afternoon. It seems to be run by 2 kids - I felt a little awkward asking them to do things for me. There is a restaurant on site but doesn’t look like it’s been used in a while. No menus available. The nearest restaurant is a 10 min walk away which is fine during the day but very dark and difficult terrain at night. Given it’s remote location it would be nice if they provided drinking water.

Very basic but cheap and cheerful - down a bumpy old road. I liked it and still got to spend the evening at the dynasty resort that is just up the road

I came into the room until late at night. I confirmed to the hotel that it would be late, but until I came to check in, no one opened the door. I called many times no one picked up. about 30 minutes of waiting, finally they’re opened the door. but that's okay, because the staff is friendly, the facilities are complete, that's enough.

overnight Village Stay. have low expectations.

village stay for sure. about a kilometre or two there is a hot spring. the hotSpring was a accidental find when we went for a walk, as that’s the only thing to do there. the hotSpring that has nothing to do with this villa is the real and only attraction.

The description especially about activity’s should be removed, as non of it is factual reality. I want to be kind in the review, so I’ll say whatever this place was before is a shadow shell of perhaps what once had been. if they at minimum maintained the place and garden properly with actual care and simply advertised a quiet village overnight getaway, simply setting realistic expectations, then it would be reasonable and not overpriced. the area truly has a fantastic hotSpring, and other accommodations near them.

Very good

A small guesthouse contains 5 or 6 bedrooms. located in the village, but very strategic if you'd like to do snorkeling or diving activities since it's very close to the harbor. perfect for a quick stay with pack activities, since there is no pool nor view from your room. the bed was so comfy, shower was nice and half outdoor. totally worth the price. recommended.

Pandemic hit it hard, but I wish it may recover

hospitality - the owner and his children are very nice people location - near the bay to cross to Menjangan Island, overall I really like West Bali region and there aren’t many budget lodging in the area. Mostly expensive resorts.

Not really well maintained

The property is quite nice

The property hasn’t been maintained. The room smelled terrible, the shower didn’t work, we booked three single beds and were given a double bed and mattress, the broken shower dripped all night so sleep was difficult.

Strong sense of community, helpful, clean and functional

family owned, everyone was helpful in addressing our requests, received so many useful information from Bli Made the owner regarding our next journey. Room was clean and functional. We loved how green the place is. def will come back

Restaurant was closed due to pandemic, so we need to bring our own food before entering the homestay. or in my case, Bli Made’s son helped us to get some food from outside

Basic room with the sound of nature

Comfortable bed and they make gorgeous welcome flower and arrange the towel as such beautiful swan. like it ^-^ Relatively clean and the staff is responsive enough, we would like to adjust our rooms when we get there as I am traveling with my mom (elderly) and he set up the other room quite fast. Thank you.

it is not what I don't like, but more to what I expect. Staying in this property is like staying in Old mc Donald farm... next door is a farm, I think, so you can hear pig and chicken sound. The location is quite in the middle of a village, no mini market nearby, so you have to buy water or snacks before getting to this homestay.

Need some maintenance

We had welcoming letter with all the details about the place and activities. The bed was beautifully decorated with arranged towels and my name made of flower petals and was very comfortable for sleeping. The location is great, just a few minutes walk from boat port to Menjangan Island. We stayed just 1 night so hadn't time to experience more

Probably due to covid and long time being close, and also we did last minute reservation the room was very dirty. Lot of stuff behind and under the bed, a lot of ants and cocroaches, very rusty bathroom without hot water ("forget" to plug gas bottle) and water was leaking all night from shower head that we could hear very clearly. Food in the restaurant was limited, sound isolation very poor and in the morning we were waken up be smell from burning plastic just right infront of the place. This place has good potential but need some maintenance

Nice stay in Bali Barat

Comfy bed. Staff was polite and friendly, they help me with transportation (you can rent a motorcycle). Near the beach and Banyuwedang (onsen)😁

- They only provide me drinking water when I am arrived. The staff said that, but the owner said that drinking water should be provided every day. - The bathroom cannot be locked, the terrace along with the chairs and tables are not given enough cleanliness - breakfast fried rice three times in a row. it tastes good but if possible you can alternating with other types of food

Exceptionnel ! Personnel très accueillant et superbes chambres

L’accueil que nous avons reçu de Made Taro et de son équipe a été exceptionnel. Les chambres sont très agréables et la literie ultra confortable. Très bon petit déjeuner. L’endroit est paisible en retrait de l’animation de Permuteran. Nous avons utilisé les services de la société de Made Taro : West Bali Explore pour une sortie snorkeling qui était parfaite. Petit plus, c’était l’anniversaire d’une personne de notre groupe. Déco de la chambre et gâteau d’anniversaire 🥰

Pas beaucoup de place de parking mais avec un peu de manœuvres et l’aide du personnel : pas de problème

Immersion et authenticité

L’équipe est très sympa. La salle de bain à l’extérieur est un vrai plus. J’ai particulièrement aimé le restaurant. Les plats sont authentiques et délicieux. Aussi, le fait d’être reculé de la ville, d’être en campagne est une réelle immersion.

Des cigarettes consumées sur le sol de la salle de bain à notre arrivée mais cela a vite été nettoyé. Les Gojek ou autres applis de VTC ne sont pas déployées là-bas donc il faut bien s’organiser (mais ceci n’est évidemment pas dû à l’établissement)

Liefste en behulpzaamste voor hun gasten

De eigenaren waren onwijs lief ! Ik had een ongeluk gehad en ze hebben me met alles geholpen zodat ik toch nog een fijne paar laatste dagen had. Ze zorgde elke dag dat ik eten had, gingen naar de winkel voor me en vroegen altijd of ik nog iets wilde hebben. Hij heeft me ook meegenomen voor een tour zodat ik toch even mijn kamer af kon om iets leuks te doen en wat van de omgeving te zien. Ik kon niet beter wensen !
