Terrible

It was right by the beach so easy to wake up early and head to the dolphin tour

They dint provide towels , just one and we had to ask for the most basic things that every hotel in Bali provides. Dint even provide free water bottles. They were annoyed with our requests. The rooms are very basic. No dryer no water bottle no extra towels and arranged a pretty bad dolphin tour for us. We were the last boat to start the tour and the first boat to head back to the hotel while everyone else was watching the dolphins we were heading back. I would not recommend!

Ok place. For me the vibe of owners/family is important in home stays and I’ve enjoyed this one 6/10 I would say

More quiet place, beachfront access.

I’ve been at places where they were more helpful/welcoming. Owners/staff didn’t offer to carry anything for me when going from check-in to the room, and even when I dropped my waterbottle on the way there because my hands were so full, the owner picked up the water bottle for me, and handed it back to me, not even carrying that. Also there was no mosquito net in my room and they couldn’t provide one, even though on the pictures beforehandI saw one, which was quite annoying because even with AC running all day, still mosquitos got inside. Also the bathroom was really quite run-down and the water basin of the toilet wouldn’t fill up automatically unless I opened it and pushed some trigger inside. During all evenings I was there, the owner enjoyed singing mediocre-executed karaoke by himself in the deserted (I visited in low-season) restaurant area publicly on his phone whilst drinking beers, which was somewhat endearing but can imagine also it may not be the vibe everyone would enjoy per se if you are on holiday.

Lovely place right in front of the beach

It's right in from of the beach! In a very quiet location, 10 minutes by scooter from Lovina. There is a restaurant so you can have dinner while watching the sunset! The staff is very nice and very helpful. They organise dolphins tours from the hotel so you just need to jump on a boat. Loved everything

Unfortunately, it's true, there are no mosquitos nets, but if you keep the bathroom's door closed, they won't come in.

This home stay was wonderful. The family and staff lovely. Right on the beach, the views incredible. The food was great. A lovely place to connect with the locals and relax. Would definitely go there again.

Cozy, sea view, good value for money

A very nice ,quiet place with view to the beach while eating breakfast. The upper rooms have sea view and the bed is very comfortable. The pool has a kids section also, very enjoyable for my little one. The staff was very friendly! We could easily rent a scooter from the place. The location is very good and places to eat, ATM and a good laundry are in walking distance.

The location is amazing. Within 2 steps you are at the beach. A kind family running the accommodations, restaurant and boat service. The food was delicious, rooms spacious and a relaxed environment

I would definitely find somewhere else to spend the night if given the chance.

It was close to the boat dock and cheap for location.

Staff were unfriendly and when arrived nobody helped us with our bags. Restaurant looked dirty and the bathrooms smelled so bad. Beds were uncomfortable and looked dirty too. The road to the location is very narrow and hard to find.

Moderate CHICO

We liked that the property was right in front of the beach. It was seconds walk. My friend said he enjoyed the noises in the morning from the construction in the two rooms next to us. The owner was friendly

The property is between falling apart and okay. For sure the pictures shown on the website are not compared to the place in person. The bathroom was not in the best state, the shower head needs to be changed. It is just not hygienic, the soap supplier too. Something that annoyed me was that they wanted to make money for everything, for instance also for the water. .

Comfortable stay which was good value for money

Spacious room with an outdoor bathroom which is something different! Nice pool to cool down in. Rented a motorbike here and when we had an issue with it, it was fixed quickly. Restaurant attached which is convenient as there aren't many other choices nearby.

Bit isolation in it's location however this is okay if you have a bike.

Nice price. It was nice to finally sleep at a higher floor away from all the insects you can usually find in bungalows in Bali. Very spacious room and spacious bathroom, nice bed, good AC!

I did not feel safe in the location and Lovina overall. Since they have few tourists, everyone is trying to sell something to you and being too pushy. A lady was screaming and offering me something while I was having my breakfast. Breakfast could be better. There was no hot water in the bathroom, so as a girl with long hair I was not able to properly wash it. The internet was working only at the reception so no working from your room.

The family is so kind and friendly. We felt very welcomed. Kadek, the son, took us everywhere we wanted to go. The room was very spacious and clean. The restaurant serves delicious local food.

The bathroom could need some restoration. The shower head was quite old.

we had a great time here, good food, beautiful beach with the option to go for dolphin watching tours right from your hotel. In the evening we did a campfire at the beach, singing and playing the guitar. it's was one of the best places we stayed on our journey! High recommends!

Clean and spacious room, great value for the price. The property is run by a nice family and is right in front of the beach. Our room had a beautiful ocean view with balcony. We loved the location, quiet and calm. You will need a scooter to get around.

3rd Time back. Outstaning

This is my 3rd Visit to Mandhara Chico. It is a magnificent location on the beach which is good swimming. It is a lively fishing village. Do not miss going to the Secret Garden for Dinner ***** Do not miss the Dolphin Cruise.

Ideal for dolphin tour

The owner was very helpful arranging a dolphin tour for the next morning. The property is right on the beachfront making it perfect for the dolphin tour. We were well looked after.

The air conditioning in our room did not cool the room down very much, so it was a hot night.

Amazing family and Hotel!

Everything else, for the money it was amazing. We checked in and the owner was so helpful, his wife made us a coffee on arrival. We went dolphin watching and swimming with themthe next day with Chico the owners son. I regrettably caught a stomach bug and had to get Doctor's to come and visit and give me fluids via IV and the owner was ever so lovely. Brought me porridge and bananas and did his upmost best to help me recover. Can't fault them one bit, lovely family and a lovely hotel!

The pool wasnt clean, mossy and full of algae which was a shame
