Location was amazing
Nothing to not like great value for money

Great location. Friendly reception. Comfortable bed, great shower but towel rail didn’t work.
Very tired. Shower needed resiliconing as it was black. First room we were offered smelt strongly of cigarettes but we were immediately offered another room which was fresher. Restaurant was shut permanently and the bar had run down the stock to the point when there was nothing we wanted to drink.

Location
The premises was run down. We couldn’t use the shower as the door was too tight.
5.0 / 10.0
Good location, decent sized rooms
No elevator, no food facilities, change of ownership seems to have run the place down since we last stayed there in 2019

This was the worst ‘hotel’ I’ve ever stayed in. Not only was the room dirty but the toilet in the bathroom flooded due to improper drain connection. You could hear the road and the other guests through paper thin walls- it was the most uncomfortable stay- we spent as little time as possible in the room and left at dawn. The hotel, if you can even call it that, did not have the ‘bar/restaurant’ open for guests and there was no staff after 5pm. I would never stay here and will never recommend this place.

Great location in the middle of town. Comfortable affordable rooms
5.0 / 10.0
Room was ok and relatively modern.
Good location. Nice & thoughtful snacks in room,
No bag drop off until 3pm so you have to pay the nearby convenience store to take your bag if you arrive earlier to explore the town, even though there is a code entry but is not provided until after 3pm?
Carpets are dirty as well as damaged on the stairs and there is plenty of them! Shower was mouldy.

Good location clean, comfortable
Windows in room and bathroom wide open in late December, presumably to get rid of smell of a joint, strong smell in room and corridors. Room was therefore cold.

We have stayed here before and the breakfast was excellent. It was disappointing that do not offer any breakfast now. Its location is good for shopping, restaurants and bars.
No breakfast facility

Great location, comfy room, modern bathroom, bar downstairs, room decorated nicely, tunnocks treats
Not quite a hotel a described on bookings.com. we turned up at 11am, freezing cold hoping to either check in early or have somewhere to leave our bags. The place is locked up and looks derelict with a phone number to ring. Rang it and said it doesn't open until 2pm. We went and sat in the wetherspoons.

Cosy room, comfy & clean bed, welcoming staff, central location, good selection of teas/coffees/Tunnocks treats in room
Dirty/stained carpet, marks on wall, mould in corners, TV doesn’t work properly, staff only on site for a few hours, no longer a restaurant or bar downstairs so benefit of discount didn’t apply, guttering needs cleaning which resulting in being woken with pounding rain on windowsill area. Website/Facebook page has to be updated to honestly describe/state what is currently on offer which feels more like a hostel than a hotel. Very unloved & rundown building, needs a lot of investment to improve.

Close to train station
Didn’t open until 2pm. Unable to drop our luggage and explore before check-in. Three flights to out room, no lift. Small room, uncomfortable, saggy mattress.

The room itself was beautifully fitted out but it was on the 4th floor with steps which were difficult to climb.
The stairs.
I didn’t feel a connection between the accommodation and the downstairs dining room.

The bed was extremely comfortable with immaculate bed linen. The shower was the best I’ve ever used. The hotel is centrally located and close to shops and restaurants.
The tiny basin in the bathroom.

Shower not great, shower cubicle needed upgrading. Bit pricey .

Bathroom new and clean. Good bed.
Paid extra for a city view. Actually overlooked an Indian takeaway and was really very noisy. Nothing good to look at atall.
Cited as above a nice pub - except it was shut most of the time we were there (Sat night/sunday lunch)
Going into it rather like a hostel.
Unable to have open window due to a lot of shouting outside.
Unable to get contact on the phone number given.

The location
This was not a clean property, and had it been refundable, we would have walked out to find another place to stay. The carpet looked like it had never been vacuumed. It was very stained and had chip crumbs on the floor by the table. The bathroom shower was also moldy.

First class and great service from staff, smashing location also.
6.0 / 10.0
Great location and works for a basic no frills short stay
Shower faulty and stains on carpet. Room would benefit from some TLC.
4.0 / 10.0
The location is very close to the train station.
They need to fix the lift. It was 53 steps (yes, I counted) with heavy luggage through several fire doors to reach our room. Everything is worn out, carpet, curtains, etc. Tiniest sink in the world.

Central
Needs a good clean, squeky floors, dimmed lights, it was too hot without fans, outside was in a horrible state. Vacuums and cots in the common stairs, and laundry in the room in the apartment all on top of each other. Looked very disorganized

Th location is amazing and we loved the little pub/cafe that’s below it. The staff was super friendly and accommodating!
The family room we got needed to be updated. The carpet and floors were extremely worn. There was also a post-it note indicating that the room was ours. The room was located backed up onto the parking lot where there was a lot of construction. I think there needs to be some updates before the family style apartment is rented out.

The place could have been cleaner

The property is very central in Stirling, the bed was very comfortable.
The room itself was over priced and a lot smaller than we expected. We have been to hotels in Edinburgh and elsewhere that are better value for money!
As well as the room size and facilities, there was a lot of dust and a lot of black mould starting to form in the en suite's ceiling.
9.0 / 10.0
The bed was perfectly comfortable and clean, and the room exceptionally quiet.
It's a historic building, so beware of the stairs. What was no problem for me may be one for those who travel with heavy luggage and experience difficulties carrying it.
