A superb experience in comfort, hospitality and great location

We had a very pleasant stay: Room was nicely set up with a comfy bed and plenty of storage space, enough hooks at the doors (the only accommodation which provided that on a three-weeks trip through Scotland - hence extra kudos). Water supply very good (water pressure and hot water any time) with drinking water quality. Very quiet location directly at the canal. Walking distance to downtown Inverness (approx. 20min). Breakfast was excellent and very nicely plated. Hosts are real stars - thank you very much for your great hospitality!

Nothing really. From a pure personal thus subjective perspective we would arrange a few things differently but only minor things or details. So overall a clear recommendation - if you have the chance to grab a room, go for it.

We had a great time at Jim and Christina's place. They were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was superb and the room was very comfortable. Just keep in mind that the place is about a 20-30 minute (very pleasant) walk to the city center, but for us, this was just fine.

A true bed and breakfast. Immaculately presented. The most beautiful breakfasts. Perfect hosts….with lots of great travel tips. Lovely location by the canal.

Just a minor thing but the window blind still lets in lots of light making it difficult to sleep when there is street light and so much light in summer.

Excellent short break

Excellent location, a 20 minute walk from the centre, it was relaxing, peaceful and exactly what I wanted. Very picturesque on the Caledonian canal, lots of walks in the area The house to a high standard, and was very clean, comfy room, with good quality products and all amenities required. Bed was very comfy, and all I could hear was birds singing in the morning as sunset rose on the waters - incredible view. Owners were perfect hosts, very friendly, informative and down to earth. helping whenever was possible. Breakfast was excellent, a good choice and the cooked English exceeded my expectations and set me up for the day, I well enjoyed - compliments to the chef. Almost everything was within walking distance from the centre, cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, shops, buses and train station, although there were buses we walked as it was good weather and an enjoyable walk. Would highly recommend for a relaxing, peaceful break, and I would definitely book again if in that area. Thank you Jim and Christina.

Very hospitable hosts, giving lots of local info, keen to help. Christina has the place very well organised, really nice room, good space, comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent, and Jim followed up with an interest in what guests are doing. Great location on the Caledonian canal, outside your door, and it was interesting to see a couple of boats in the locks. Probably best to have a car, and parking easily available.

Room very clean and complete with different kind of soap and shampoo/conditioner We had free access to Netflix in our room The breakfast was excellent Nice view on the canal Our host was very nice and she even let me borrow her aftersun cream because I got unexpectedly sunburn on the day before on a trip to the Isle of Skye

The walk into town was a bit of a trek but it was very easy to find our way around town

What a fantastic find!

Location was perfect, by the canal and while close to the centre, it was away from the busy noise of the city. Lovely yachts and boat sail by. Breakfasts were delicious; freshly cooked with a choice of anything we wanted as well as beautiful fresh fruits.

I couldn’t fault this B&B - and we’ve stayed at lots! Squeaky clean with quality fittings, beautiful linen and comfortable beds. Warm welcoming hosts who made our stay particularly enjoyable.

Lovely spot by Caledonian Canal. Close to locks. Nice walks along the canal. 15 min. walk into Inverness town centre with choice of restaurants, bars, pubs etc. Cosy B&B. Nicely done in my opinion Arrived on a motorbike. Host immediately directed me park m/c (max of 2) in garage with his motorbike. Being a local host s had great knowledge of best areas and routes to ride across Scotland . cafe, pubs, restaurants etc. Parking at front of B&B for cars or m/c's. Area is quite and B&B located in small dead end road so no one really has reason to go in to road unless a resident Comfortable room, comfy bed, ^ great breakfast. Friendly and chatty hosts. Happy to give recommendations on things to do places to go (or not go). Really throughly enjoyed our stay and one of the accommodation highlights of our 10 day tour of Scotland and we stayed in some nice places. Room we had was downstairs and had everything we needed. Would happily return

I will be back!

Sealladh Sona is a hidden gem! It is in a beautiful, peaceful location next to a canal not too far from central Inverness. Jim and Christina made me feel like I was part of their family - they are so friendly and helpful. They were there if I needed them, but were not intrusive. Breakfast was amazing every morning (oh the coffee!). My room was quiet and very comfortable. Inverness is so charming and gorgeous, and staying at Sealladh Sona was the cherry on top!

Everything was great! We chose this lodging because it was highly rated and it was true. The breakfast was cooked to order, fresh and delicious. the room with view, the bed, the linens and pillows were very comfortable and excellent quality. The shower was fantastic and the towels thick and fluffy. Plenty of room, well designed and also very safe. Perfect neighborhood on the canal with a 15 minute walk to the central town. The hosts were spectacular! Both of them were friendly and helpful and funny, too! We will definitely go back again.

Weekend in Inverness and making new friends

We had a great two days at the B&B, breakfast was great, fresh and hot! The couple could not do enough for you. Room was clean, fresh and well presented with plenty of boiling hot water on demand, good selection of teas and coffee good shower and fresh towels etc. great place to stay and will defo use again, great view beside the canal Good location for centre of Inverness
