Excellent stay lovely pub and food WiFi works better in the bar so had to stay there!🤣
If you could reserve parking space would be nice, big council car park over the road so not a big issue.

The staff were friendly and efficient - the food was excellent, and on the Saturday evening the place was crowded with visitors and locals who were all enjoying themselves. The young man who greeted us and provided breakfast was particularly polite and welcoming - he made us feel at ease from the start of our visit.
No grab handle on the shower in room 21.

The food served in the restaurant was wonderful. I had the burger which was well cooked, fresh and very tasty, and surprisingly good value. There wasn't much decent draft ale available but their bottled selection was good. The communal areas and restaurant were nicely decorated if not a little shabby in places. The bathroom in my room was clean and the shower had great pressure.
The room was unclean, there were toenail clippings on the floor. It was also incredibly dark. I arrived at night and there were no overhead ceiling lights in the room, only sconce lights which were quite dim and I struggled to find what I needed in my suitcase. The furniture was all incredibly shabby and stained. The bed runners were absolutely filthy with what looked like "fresh stains" on them. The bed was not properly made, I had to put the sheet on myself as it had pulled away, revealing the mattress, without me even having sat on it. The "family room", which I was in, has an adjoining room which was occupied by another guest. The walls between these two rooms are very thin, and there's a sizeable gap under the door meaning I could hear absolutely everything going on. My neighbour woke up at 6am and put the TV on (at a reasonable volume) but it was enough to wake me and keep me awake. Floor is uneven and very squeaky so again, very loud. Breakfast is only served from 8am so if you're travelling for work you will be pushed for time.
