Arjuna Homestay

Arjuna Homestay is a real paradise corner! Well situated in Pemuteran, hidden from the main coastal road, but walking distance to the beach, facilities and nice restaurants. The owner welcomed us and made us feel at home. All the staff is very professional and attentive. Food is delicious, and breakfast up the terrace was the perfect way to start the day. We relaxed by the pool and profit of balinese massages in the dedicated hut: amazing! The dive center, masterly run by Hugo, is one of the best center I have ever witnessed. We’ve done a family snorkelling day trip, I’ve done two dives and my ten year old boy made an initiation trial of two dives and now he cannot think of anything else! I am very concerned about safety when it comes to diving, and Hugo and his super team were absolutely beyond my expectations! I would definitely recommend everyone to visit Pemuteran and stay at Arjuna Homestay. We will certainly come back next time we will be in Bali, and for longer.

The beds near the pool are not as in the picture. The owner changed to ugly plastic beds in red and white. It looks cheap.

I loved the proximity to the dive centre and all staff of both Arjuna Homestay and Dive concepts were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food was also great and very reasonable priced. The pool was lovely, especially at night under the stars!

This budget-friendly hotel is ideal for active singles, couples and families with children who want to travel around and see different places. It has a dive shop (Dive Concepts) and transport to take you to places. Every morning they get ready all gear for diving, snorkeling and sunbathing at the beach and take guests to Menjangan island (or somewhere else). For a 3-star hotel it has a lot of good features - rooms have an old wooden furniture but are functional with comfortable beds. It has a a nice garden, swimming pool and restaurant. If you stay on the second floor you will have a beautiful views of the nearby hills. Top marks for breakfast. Nikolas, the owner, is around most of the time and ready to help you with any requests. The dive shop is very well managed and organised by Dimitri and runs like a clock. Overall if you are not fussy this place will provide for you a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Arjuna road leading to the hotel from the main road is completely broken. Take care when you walk on it at night. Stairs to the rooms on the second floor are quite steep. If you have a heavy luggage ask reception to get someone to help.

Friendly and efficient. Swimming pool and poolside relaxation. Alfresco eating. Dive shop and charters. Not far to beach. Mosquito nets but we heard no mosquitoes.

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful part of Bali

Very comfortable and beautiful place, the staff was very kind and we loved the convenience of having Dive Concepts in the same space!

Perfect location in Pemuteran, beautiful swimming pool and good restaurant. Beds are ok, and the bathroom has hot water easily which is a good point usually in this part of the island.

Main issue I've felt is that the hotel want to master locally the paiement and not getting the process easier for its customers as not allowing payment via Booking website. Could be ok as other hotels are doing the same, but once you are at the place they explain you that it's better to pay them everything in cash as they will input 3% tax if you want to pay by credit card. So you can pay with cash but on top there is only one ATM in the city, which was not working with my French BNP Visa Premier as too old machine... Unfortunately you feel a bit like trapped for paying the hotel and other services with them only in cash or with taxes, 10€ in my case. On top one part of a snorkelling activity had to be paid in cash, I was missing 12€ in cash on a total of 85€, they've accepted me to complete with credit card but with the addition of the 3% tax. To sum up, do not expect any gesture. Concerning the hotel itself, it is a bit old school for the price. Staff seems nice but the atmosphere is globaly less friendly and welcoming than all the other hotels we had for 10 days previously in Bali. It's unfortunately a bit obvious that the attention is put on the diving club linked to the hotel as their customers seem prioritized for attention. WiFi is really poor if you have not a room near reception, your devices can not catch it 80% of the time as there is only one box not so accessible. There is no sound isolation, so either from chicken at one side of the hotel, rooms above yours or swimming pool as the glass door is not perfectly closing, don't expect to sleep after 8am in the morning. Finally the breakfast buffet is full from 7am to 8:30 but after they are reducing all wich is proposed and choice becomes really small. Overall the hotel announces that all its steps are taken with ecological concerns in mind, but in the end we rather have the impression that the main concern is to do everything to make all the smallest economies possible.

Very peaceful hotel in Pemuteran, with very nice swimming pool and a very comfortable terrace. The restaurant was very good. Arjuna also arranged for our snorkeling excursion to Menjangan, which was highly recommended.

Nice hotel set back from the main road so it’s quiet and surrounded by greenery. Clean and comfortable rooms that are tastefully decorated. Good to have a swimming pool too.

We had a nice time but there were a few small things that could have been better: - Wi-Fi is really patchy - No kettle in the room - Bathroom has a large opening in the wall - great for ventilation but not so good for keeping out mosquitos - Breakfast buffet was frustrating for our kids as (a) the food is on the bar so they can’t reach it; and (b) you’re rationed to just one small pancake each

its a bit basic but still very comfortable!

Large, clean room, nice clean pool with a good sized adult pool and a separate baby pool for toddler to wade around happily. Staff and owners are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is simple but great. Quiet location and excellent for family stay. Diving with the onsite DiveConcepts is easily arranged.

Shower only got warm quickly in the afternoon, and took an extremely long time to get a bit warm at night, so often we just took cold showers at night (no experience in the morning). If you go around on foot instead of motorbikes, beware of a few unfriendly stray/wild dogs wandering in Jalan Arjuna (the lane outside the hotel) esp. at night.

staff. right size, enough for very friendly interaction but not too intrusive. Proprietor, Nicholas, very helpful. able to do snorkeling excursion from the property. Good food

No bannisters on staircases for older travellers. but downstairs accommodation meant there was no need to use stairs.

The Hostel was perfect and the food was excellent. The manager is super nice and helpfull!

The staff were lovely and enjoyed the pool and the balcony.

The property had a great pool and was close to a lot of yummy restaurants. It was also very clean and the beds were comfortable!

I didn’t love the bees in my room every time I turned on the lights, but I think that was a unique circumstance that hopefully had been dealt with.

Very peaceful and in a very nice jungle-like setting. Beautiful greenery and swimming pool lovely. The restaurant was great for breakfast and we also ate dinner there every night with our two young children. The food options were varied and very well done. It’s also attached to a dive centre which was very convenient for organising diving and snorkelling trips to Menjangan.

Very good food in the restaurant and very helpful owners. They where always onsite and assist us with everything. During dinner they take the baby so we can eat. Thanks a lot for the good stay here.
