Had a nice stay here during fashion week, decent size room (for Paris!), lovely staff and would stay again. room on front a little noisy but. hey it's Pigalle... It's a prefect street to be on and metro trips simple from the top off the road and back to CDG.

I was really looking forward to this stay since we got a good deal as the price is good, but the rooms were quite disappointing. The Paris-sized space was expectedly small, but the floor was oddly slanted — our luggage would literally roll across the room on its own. They were kind enough to give us a balcony room for our honeymoon, which we appreciated, but the balcony itself was rather filthy with bits of trash. The windows looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years, with thick 1-inch layers of dust, and there was even trash left on the fake grass. The walls were peeling in the elevator and room, too. Throughout our stay, a strange smell — like beef mixed with cleaning product — lingered around the entire hotel, including our room. The door didn’t close properly, so we could hear the noise in the hall very clearly and dread to think they could hear us too. At one point, the cleaning lady even opened our door while we were inside, despite the room already being cleaned. HappyCulture is fine for travelers on a budget, but they really should try harder to meet their claimed standards. It’s definitely not a 4-star hotel — more like 2.5 or 3 stars at best. On the bright side, the staff were very nice and the location was excellent: just a 10-minute walk to train stations and close to great spots like Pink Mamma, Le Carmen, and plenty of bars and restaurants.

I emailed to confirm we wanted twin beds instead of a double, and they replied so quickly! They also agreed to store our luggage after checkout—such a good stay for this price :)

Room Quality and Space: The room was significantly smaller than advertised in photos, with limited space to move around comfortably. The cramped conditions made the stay less enjoyable than expected. Our room overlooked a construction site in the backyard, resulting in daytime noise that could be disruptive for light sleepers or those planning to rest during the day. Cleanliness and Maintenance: While the room appeared clean upon arrival, housekeeping standards seemed inconsistent during our stay. The bed linens didn't appear to be changed regularly, and by the third day, an unpleasant odor had developed from the bedding area. However, the bathroom was reasonably sized relative to the room and well-maintained, with fresh towels provided regularly throughout our stay. Breakfast: The breakfast offering was adequate but basic, with a limited variety that becomes repetitive after a few days. For extended stays, guests might want to explore nearby restaurants for variety. The lobby features a 24-hour coffee machine and water station, which is essential since rooms lack mini-fridges. This means multiple trips downstairs for water and refreshments. Service and Location: The hotel staff were accommodating and friendly, assisting with early check-in requests and providing luggage storage for guests arriving before check-in time. The location is the property's strongest asset, situated just five minutes from the nearest metro station with convenient access to restaurants, bars, and attractions. The famous Moulin Rouge is within a 10-minute walk, making it ideal for tourists. Overall Assessment: While the hotel serves its purpose for short stays, the combination of cramped accommodations and premium pricing reflects the location's value rather than the property's quality. Best suited for travelers prioritizing location over comfort, particularly for stays of two nights or less. The convenience of nearby transportation and attractions may justify the cost for some visitors, but those seeking spacious accommodations or extended stays should consider alternatives.
