The host was very helpful with an enquiry we put his way, would stay again.

Great for the local amenities and just 20 minutes from peppa pig world which was the main reason for our stay.

The place could do with a little modernisation, but if you’re looking for a base to stay whilst you explore the area it’s great.

Perfect location for stay near uni

Spacious apartment. Suited our needs (close to uni, parking available). Full and functional kitchen. Instructions for collecting keys were clear. The apartment was as expected (based on information, reviews and pictures on Booking). Although location was at a busy street we did not experience any issues with noise.

The layout of the livingroom was a bit odd (watching television from sofa not really possible), but this did not bother us as we did not watch TV. The blinds in the bedrooms are in bad shape and very light which would have bothered me if we had stayed in summer. The beds and furniture have seen better days.

Spacious pleasant apartment marred by a maintenance issue which when fixed would be great.

The apartment was spacious, clean, comfortably furnished and well equipped. We liked the responsive under floor heating (we visited in January), the bath, smart TV and the full kitchen with hob, oven and microwave and a range of utensils. It was conveniently located for the places we wanted to visit in and around Southampton.

The extractor fans in the bathrooms appeared not to work, but this was resolved when the the owner pointed out where they had been inadvertently switched off. More generally, the apartment appeared to have been fitted out originally to a good standard and has been maintained in response to general wear and tear.; however the standard of some repairs is variable, eg the shower looks like it had a sliding door at one time but now has a shower curtain. instead. More significantly, we have to report an issue with the drainage affecting both bathrooms, which caused an unpleasant smell for a while in the ensuite bathroom and for bathwater to surcharge into the shower tray. The owner responded quickly to our concerns and assured us that they would be dealt with promptly.

Would recommend this accommodation for it’s cleanliness and great location. Apartment is spacious.

Easy access, great location, off road parking, very clean, comfortable beds, soft towels, hand soap and dishwashing tablets provided.

Cigarette smoke in the hallway. Horrible blinds that don’t properly close. Missing a dining chair (we were a family of 4 but there were only 3 dining chairs). A nice lamp in the lounge would be cozier than bright ceiling lights.

Basic stay - over priced for what was offered.

The location.

To get into the front drive there’s no dipped pavement so not nice for car. One shower had no hose attached to it, so only one shower available. The shower head needed descaling

Disappointing for 2 older couples ( 76 years +) A bad choice on my part and we checked out early.

Overall pleasant stay but property will probably need a bit of updating

The location was great for where we needed it to be. We have family nearby but their place was too small to accommodate us so having us all here was great. The property was clean and they were able to accommodate an extra bed for our toddler. The flats were very clean.

It does feel a bit dated, the water pressure in both showers in flat 9 was quite poor and the hob over time has lost its numbers so we had to roughly guess what the temperature was. They lacked bowls which was hard for us as a family to feed our little ones. It is a long a main road so can be very noisy.

Decent apartment, well spec’d, good area.

Size of rooms, good living/kitchen space. Had everything we needed. Useful white goods in terms of dishwasher, washing machine/dryer. Main bedroom was a good size and had an en suite. Surrounding area felt safe.

Very tiny niggles that would just improve what is already there - oven gloves, towel hooks on back of door.

Disappointing

Location and size

Building work ongoing, loud noise from8.30 onwards. Bedroom blind damaged which allowed builders view into room. Requested repair which was done in a couple of hours by helpful staff. Beds and sofa uncomfortable/lumpy. Freezer iced up in places. Unable to use balcony because of building work. Wooden bed corners protrude from bed and easily catch your shin. Wardrobe wouldn’t close. No shaver point. No bathroom extraction. No parking on last night as restricted by builders materials.

Nice apartment convenient to the Hospital

NIce apartment with good facilities. It is located on a main road so there was a lot of traffic noise which was a slight problem. We had some difficulty in finding the property as our GPS took us to a neighbouring building but a phone call to the host sorted that issue out easily. Parking was good.

Traffic noise was the main issue and while we were staying there were renovations to the roof which also mean additional noise.

Such a let down1

The location.

First of all, both car parks had skips in them as they were getting a new roof fitted. The balcony and the table and chairs were full of debris from the building work, so we couldn't sit out. There was no mention of this work when booking ( we would have gone elsewhere ). The apartment itself was clean and tidy. We had to go and buy everything you would need for a weeks holiday from salt, sugar, t bags, coffee, tin foil. There were no basics at all, which is very disappointing after travelling for 12 hours it would have been nice to get a hot drink. The kitchen equipment is old and dated. The fridge door inside is all broken, so you couldn't put any drinks there. The freezer was blocked up with ice, so you couldn't put anything in it, and the cooker is so old you couldn't work out what ring you were turning on.The WiFi keeps going on and off and the lights were doing the same thing. This is the worst apartment we have stayed in and would definitely not return.

There seemed to be a leak in the ceiling and it was dripping down onto our babies cot ! The damage to the roof showed that the staff knew of the leak and the fooor boards were warped which showed this wasn’t a new issue

Ok for a short stay

Good location, good communication with host, facilities like fridge, microwave & being able to cook with pots and pans, bowls etc, very handy when your up early & out all day for grabbing a snack

I've stayed in the same complex last year its great for a short stay but beds & furniture aren't comfortable & there was no hot water for some reason & blinds didn't work properly

Deposit not Returned

Clean Apartment

Never received the £100 cleaning deposit back even though we had left the apartment clean and in as good of a state than when we arrived. Email the property but haven't had a response. It's been 4 weeks since our stay.

Disappointed!

The location was good.

Felt deceived - the pictures suggest a higher end accommodation than it was! Sofas had been changed to more basic ones, the ones in the pictures were in the foyer? The radiators were filthy and very old but moreover the duvet bedding was like a kids room, the pillows were very flat, old and exceptionally tired and the bedrooms/pillows/cushions smelt sweaty! Building surrounded with scaffolding too. Awaiting compensation.

Good Enough

The location was great. It definitely served its purpose considering we were just down the street from family we were visiting. It was an older building with some restorations and I do believe they did their best with maintenance but you can tell the building was worn down and in rough shape. Bathrooms and kitchen were clean all things considered. Staff were helpful and pleasant to deal with, they forgot our baby cot and brought it over in a timely fashion which we appreciated! Beds were comfortable and linens appeared to be clean. The check in and check out process was also super efficient which we appreciated!

- The curtains block out NO light. Thankfully we brought a blackout tent for our baby because we were awoken with the birds every morning. - Carpets were stained and dirty and floors were sticky, we wore shoes the whole time. - The scaffolding on the building did not make our unit feel safe and secure. Someone could have easily climbed it and gained access to our unit. - The unit has 2 bathrooms but you cannot run 2 showers at the same time, all the hot water goes to whichever is running first. - The unit has a full kitchen but there was no paper towel provided and we had to go out and buy some. Also no additional toilet roll which we also had to go buy. - Washing machine works fine but the dryer feature was a waste of time and energy, best to hang your items. - We couldn’t figure out how the dishwasher worked for a few tries. Instructions would have been helpful.
