Our host, Nicholas, was fantastic. After settling us into our room he helped us manoeuvre our car into the accommodation’s free parking area. He then provided us with a heap of information on places of interest and pubs and restaurants to try in Dublin City. The room was comfortable (although hot because of the unusually warm weather) and the bathroom was clean and new.
The accommodation is well located and is only a 20-25 minute walk to the O’Connell Bridge and nearby Temple Bar.
We had to carry our bags up (and down) 4 flights of stairs which we were able to manage. However, this wasn’t advertised and I think the hosts should advise this before accepting bookings.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the location was OK, with multiple bus stops nearby and just on the edge of the central downtown area. This is obviously an old building with a lot of character.
The beds were hard and smelled like bug spray(?). This was the deal breaker for us that made us not enjoy this property. There was constantly litter on the sidewalk in this area.
