My room on the first floor facing the pedestrianized road and was bright and quiet. You could only hear people with the window open. The double bed was comfy, having a fridge was useful and you could go down to reception for tea and water at any time. The hotel is close to the train station and accessed via many steps, or if you go the other way there is a lift down to the level it is on. It is also at the start of the main tourist route to the harbour, but enough away to limit numbers passing. Beside the hotel is an access down to the beach - a quieter end.
Opening the shower doors outwards, you had to squeeze beside the sink to access the shower. These doors appeared to move more freely outwards rather than inwards as then that would also be a bit of a squeeze.
Cannot comment on the breakfast as I did not have it. But observed a good spread of items.

The value of this cosy B&B is great. My single room was small with beautiful wall paper, but i don't need more space as i was out at the beach just down the place most of the time. The variety of the breakfast included is top! And last but not least: the staff is lovely and caring.
