Great Food, lovely staff and lovely surroundings.

We loved the level of service. We were told a few days before our arrival that we would not be in the main building but rather 140 yards away. A 140 yards is not much, but when it is uphill, it is quite cold in November, and you happen to be old, that is more than an inconvenience. Upon expressing my dismay, the staff immediately put together a solution to both our satisfactions.

Google maps directed us up an impossibly bumpy dirt road for miles up to the hotel. Turns out there is a much better access road on the other side. It would be great to let the customers know beforehand.

A place that makes your trip nothing less than perfect

The place is perfect. Kind staff, breakfast that lacks nothing. The spa is amazing. The rooms, the view, the surroundings of the hotel, everything is beautiful and well-kept. We were 4 people in large and spacious Prestige rooms, 4 nights on a star trip in Umbria. We had a perfect stay. What you see in the pictures is what you get. I debated whether to downgrade the location, but I decided that the place does not deserve to be given a score other than 10. Located in the northern point of Umbria, half an hour from Perugia and an hour and a half from the southern towns. But the roads are beautiful and the place is worth the drive to and from.

Beautiful. Private and quiet. Wonderful amenities.

Scenic views, beautiful stone buildings, size of property. We enjoyed the seclusion and privacy. Our group was 2 couples. Our daughter and her husband were thrilled with the picturesque setting and spa offerings. We dined 2 of our 4 nights at the restaurant on the property and had wonderful meals. The breakfast was a nice start to the day. We enjoyed day trips to several medieval towns but also enjoyed relaxing at the property since it has many amenities including the restaurant, pools and spa; no need to leave if prefered. Front desk arranged golf for the guys while the girls had fantastic facials at the spa. Wonder stay overall.

Beds were too firm for some of us. Dining menu a bit limited for longer stay guests. Maybe chef special nightly? Bu t all meals and desserts were great.

A little piece of heaven in Umbria!!

I think I’ll rave about this stay forever. It’s the nicest hotel I have ever experienced. We were upgraded on check-in and received the most incredible room. It truly felt like a dream from start to finish. The staff were consistently warm and gracious, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Breakfast is phenomenal, with complimentary prosecco available if you wish. We had dinner here on two nights, and both meals were absolutely five-star. The spa is beautiful, and we loved spending time in the thermal suites. There are two swimming pools with breathtaking scenic views, which made the whole experience even more relaxing. Everything felt cinematic, as if I had stepped into a movie. My only regret is not booking the entire holiday here. I cannot wait to return.

I had an amazing trip with my girl friends and I think for the value, there is no better place!

this is the perfect place to relax, and be productive if you need to work. Having 3 pools, tennis courts, a spa as well as unique activities on site such as truffle hunting and wine tasting made this place perfect for people who want to make the most out of their stay! the restaurants for lunch and dinner is so good with many options, as well as a great breakfast buffet included in your stay! the staff was incredible and had so many amazing recommendations to explore the region, this was truly an amazing stay and would recommend it to any of my clients, family and friends, I cant wait to go back one day!

the only thing that could have been better would be to have a fitness center, and the staff did tell me they were going to build one, so that will be exciting when that is ready!

Awesome, unforgettable weekend

Great location. Staff were amazing, really courteous and helpful. Food was excellent. The rooms were very spacious and very clean. Large and comfortable beds. The maid was meticulous.

Only one criticism was the afternoon of our last day a group of youngsters were quite rowdy and boisterous by the pool and we thought this wasn’t in keeping with the spirit of a spa retreat. I don’t want to blame the youngsters, maybe the hotel owners need to consider who uses the facilities. Other than this it was truly an amazing and memorable weekend stay.

Awesome

Rooms are really cool vintage styled rooms, super clean and very spacious. The staff is amazing, helped us with everything, including a flat tire we had on a Saturday, probably the best staff I encountered. Breakfast is really good! The spa is really nice and clean. Views from the Spa/Hotel itself are amazing. All in all, very good value and an awesome experience.

A little bit of noise from the restaurant downstairs but that really depends on the other guests.

Amazing, relaxing, Anniversary Get Away

The room had a beautiful view, spa was calming and well equipped, restaurant was delicious and ALL of the staff was kind and accommodating.

The only negative, was out of everyone's control. It rained off and on while we were there so we couldn't take advantage of some of the outdoor activites.

Great facilities and personal service away from the crowds

The peaceful environment of the place. Great facilities with privacy and high level of personal service. The price is a little high but it includes most services, like mini-bar, delicious breakfast, pool, sauna access, etc. which makes it acceptable. Beautiful SPA facilities. Excellent chef in the kitchen - you should enjoy at least one dinner at the hotel and select local dishes from the menu.

The last km of road to the hotel is a terrible gravel road. We were blessed with good weather during our stay, but I was still afraid of damaging the bottom of the rental car or its tires by the bad quality of the road. Would not like to try this road during a rainstorm!

Relaxing accommodation

The accommodation consists of one central building and a couple of separate cottages containing several rooms on a large estate with olive trees. The location was a bit difficult to find as you need to travel about half a kilometer on a very bad road which makes you wonder if you're on the correct road (especially if you arrive after sunset). The room we had was in a nice cottage that was used to store the olives in the past with beautiful natural materials. The pool and the sauna close to the main building was very relaxing.

The restaurant was (probably) understaffed and not what we expected with this accommodation, and decided to go to restaurants (which were excellent) in the neighbourhood (at least 15 minute drive by car).

Beautiful place

Views were great, stuff really helpful and the breakfast really good.

The hotel is situated far away from town and it is almost impossible to do anything without a car. We didn't have a car so it was really hard to walk 1h to the bus stop to reach the city to have some shopping and to eat. Hotel had bicycles that helped a bit to see the area. Taxis are really expensive as they come from another city to reach this place! If you have a car, there is no problems. I would have liked to have also something else to eat than fine dining every night, but the hotel restaurant didn't have other options. If you are really hungry, you will need to eat the whole menu through as only the second dish is not enough to full the stomach and to do that every night it will cost a lot! The spa was ok, but not as great as it looks in the pictures. But if there is only few with you, it is good. When grouded, there is not enough space to relax. The outdoor pool was great, but at this time of the year a bit too cold.

Everything. The setting and views were incredible, the food in the restaurant was excellent, the staff were super helpful. The rooms were spacious and well equipped and the spa and facilities were excellent. The perfect place to relax and recharge.

It is slightly out of the way on a relatively rough road in parts but that is also part of the experience and why it is so quiet and peaceful.
