Schloss Hotel Fernsteinsee

The hotel is in an excellent location, the staff is friendly and helpful, our room was large and well-appointed. The entire hotel is decorated richly with artwork of all kinds, the overall experience is one of luxury and comfort.

If I have to pick something negative to say, the wait times in the restaurant were occasionally on the longer side.

My husband and I stayed in the King Ludwig suite and we were amazed at the grandness of the room. it went far beyond our expectations, and it made us feel like royalty. Our friends had rented a different room in the castle but decided to move into our "suite" because it had both a separate bedroom and an additional bathroom. We stayed up late sitting around the kitchen table and enjoying wine and conversation. In the morning we brought coffee up into the room and enjoyed a leisurely morning before heading down to the wonderful breakfast. We learned that though King Ludwig had never actually stayed in that particular suite, empress Maria Theresa had. The room was lavish, and the bedding quite comfortable. We also enjoyed and appreciated all the chandeliers and lamps that we were able to light up in the room.

My only suggestion is that there could be better lighting in the bathroom. I believe it could be helped with a change of lightbulbs.

Very traditional / unique and quite quirky interior decor in an old school way. Location has some great driving roads and surrounding area and environment was really great. Nice view out of balcony. Restaurant was great too. Would stay a second time.

The bathroom could have looked better even though it was clean. The actual rooms could have reflected the rest of the hotel decor better, but nothing inherently bad or wrong. In room coffee machine was not working so we had to use pan to heat the water. The shower head holder wasn’t the best but was good enough.

Amazing place between the Austrian alps in Tirol. Clean rooms, good kitchen and bathroom, very good Decoration stile 17-18 century

The Car acess is horrible and dangerous to park, direct from the road, cause me a very bad impression . The access to the rooms are pretty bad, by stairs, no elevator, nobody to help to carry the luggage
