Boavista Guest House

Very clean, super friendly staff, great location. Great breakfast and lovely patio

Next door neighbors, a restaurant a bit noisy but not until late. Could only hear from the patio. The room was silent

I was a solo traveller so it was so lovely to receive such a warm welcome at Boavista Guest House. The location is in a quiet area but yet only 15 mins walk from downtown Porto. There is a bus stop across the road that took me just two stops down the road to Casa Da Musica and the museum of contemporary art - Serralves, which is also on the same bus route. Really enjoyed the buffet breakfast with juices, fresh fruits, bread, cheeses, meats and pastries - while there is no cooked breakfast this was more than sufficient and it was plentiful. Suggest you ask for a larger room if you're travelling as a couple - mine was more than adequate for myself but it would have been a little on the small size for two people. The rate was also very affordable compared to hotel prices.

The staff were friendly and helpful.

Location is not the most centric one, have to walk around 20-25 mins to get to the center. A bus stop nearby however. The room was super small and unlike shown in the picture of booked room, didn't have a table or any other amenities. Breakfast food selection is not bad but a little weird, more of sweet stuff rather than savory.

far to expensive for this in "minimalistic style" furnished room. nothing to say against a minimalistic style, but if you cannot use the bathroom sink for face washing or shaving without flooding the entire room, the function is not given. The tiny cubes underneath the TV should have doors, so you can put stuff in it.
