Best Western Melbourne City

The location is fabulous and very good value for money

The bathroom is small but still very happy with room for the price

It was essential to everything staff are nice

The rooms are very small

location, bed and pillows are comfortable, provided individually packed toiletries, staff are courteous

requested room clean up everyday but the floor was dirty, need to improve the quality of cleaning the room and toilet, the refrigerator has a buzzing sound, very disturbing while sleeping, door to the shower is so narrow

The hotel is incredibly handy for central city, across the road from Gadigal metro station and very close to Town Hall and Hyde Park. It is surrounded by excellent cafes and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful, and always greeted me as I went past.

My room was upstairs but entirely inside - the one window was frosted and faced into the foyer. That would be fine, but during the night there was plenty of light - and curtains that didn't keep it out. I'd also suggest that Best Western should try staying in the room themselves to see if its practical or not. I am only 172cm, but my feet went right to the end of the small single bed. Not sure how someone taller would get on. Similarly, I had some work to do and the WiFi was good - but the Ottoman that acted as the chair was incredibly low to sit on. The bathroom was fine and functional, but would benefit from the staff cleaning behind the door occassionally.
