Sunprime Kamala Beach

The pool view room was very spacious, all the pools were excellent, pool towels were changed as often as I needed. Easy access to the beach and near to shops, restaurant’s, 7/11 and money change. I came during rainy season so the hotel was very quiet and not all restaurants or spa were open, I was also able to check in early and out later. No children under 16 was good for myself.

A little bit dated but apart from that I was happy with everything else.

Outstanding views and pools. Staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. The beach is on the doorstep, clear water warm and good sand. You can walk to everything. Great little bars and cafes down the side streets. Only down side was the air con was too cold and caused damp in the room.

Air con in room 3208 created everything to be damp. The floor became slippery and our clothes and bed damp.

The warmth exuded by all the staff from concierge, reception, pool, housekeeping and breakfast restaurant. All smiles, warm greetings and lively conversation. There are 4 pools and clean beachfront. All areas are clean and swimming pool is open until 10 pm. Walking distance to restaurants and 7 Eleven. Sunset was amazing. Breakfast menu is changed daily with a spread of Western and local delicacies. There is a night market in front of the hotel on certain nights.

Cleaning of the rooms were not good. We switched rooms right after checking in due to stains on the robes, ants on the walls poor smell, cob webs, and knobs missing on the wall (like they'd been broken off). They staff were helpful and moved us to a different room. I would still say facilities need some work, our AC leaked on the floor, our bed was quite worn and we also had to call to get our waters as it was forgotten when our rooms was cleaned. Not sure if just because it was off-season that there is less staff to support in cleaning, however, it was noticeable. Additionally, some gym machines weren't operational and there was no sign telling us. But when we asked reception the let us that someone was coming in to repair them already. I feel like a lack of communication and cleaning was our big take.
