Studio Hatfield

It was nice,clean and comfortable

The space felt homely. It was private but support was just next door if I needed it. The view of the garden was very calm and relaxing. There were facilities to heat up my own meals to keep costs down. The university was in walking distance. There was a bus stop straight to the train station.

Nice quite area, excellent for a visit with our dog. Nice wooded area across the lane, to give him a quick walk. Location was great for getting to the Veterinary College the following morning. Room had all the facilities we needed for a short stay.

Nothing.

Comfortable bed, good shower. The location was good for our event at Hatfield House - an 8-minute bus ride from the nearby stop and half an hour's walk back, as the bus didn't run after 10.30.

The wifi didn't work. We phoned the owner, who said they had changed provider and she would come back to us with the password, but she never did. No milk was provided with the tea and coffee - luckily we'd brought some with us. "Fully fitted kitchenette" was not an accurate description. The bathroom sink didn't have a plug and only hand towels were left out for us despite there being a shower. The bed had only one thin cover - perfect during the heatwave but we stayed on a cool evening. After hunting through the towels in the wardrobe we managed to find two slightly larger ones and there was also a duvet in there.
