The room facilities were good. (Microwave, hob, hair dryer etc.) The room was also quite spacious.
The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. The room was very warm, even with a cooling fan on. The staff weren't unpleasant but weren't "at the desk" when we came to check in or out- they were in a back room on a personal phone call. The breakfast was lacklustre at best and overpriced.

It was all averagely ok nothing great nothing bad. It did give we provide temporary housing vibes very strongly. That maybe unfair but it was the vibe.
The receptionist took me to the room because it was in an out building and up some stairs. I had 3 bags and he didn't even offer to take one. Just felt even if I'd been a man he should have at least offered to help.

On arrival we where told that there was no evening food , we xoukd have rolls or sandwiches. After driving for 3 hours that wasnt exactly what we want to hear especiallywhen you see a man comkng out of tbe kitchen with about 10 plastic tubs full of food. We booked this hotel as was meeting up with friends upon meeting they asked where we was stopping and they where very shocked to hear this hotel was open to guests as it was being used as a migrant hotel. This then made sense as tbere where a lot of foreign national men within the hote in a room behind a screenl. This then made us feel very uncomfortable and uneasy as was not told about this at tbe time of bookkng. When leaving tbe room in the morning the rooms around hs stunk of a weed smell.which continued into the breakfast room. If we had know this about tbe hotel we would not of booked this and found somewhere else. Will we stop again, definitely NOT.

Staff we’re friendly but could’ve been better that’s about it really
To start with the entrance was not grey there’s no sort of quiet seated area or lounge area like you would in a normal European hotel the breakfast were very mediocre not much of a choice and especially if you don’t want an English breakfast it was very limited really not liking Europe where you’d get fruits, different breads, cheeses, meats, and everything else.

Nothing.
No mention of the government housing migrants there. Only found out when we arrived, didn’t feel safe when we arrived so we had to cancel our night away then drive home. Very upset with booking.com and best western.

This hotel is now a refuge centre for Migrants, it is not suitable for external guests, there were lots of men loitering on the grounds and we were followed from the carpark.

Nothing at all
Check in was poor, but I felt incredubly intimidated by the number of asylum seekers/ refugees in the building and being stared at. It was highly uncomfortable. Hotel is very isolated in a housing estate and a long walk in to town. Avoid at all costs

The rooms were perfect! An amazing find!!
We were allocated rooms in the annexe, and the room were the Charlton, Ramsey and two others.
Each room has a small kitchenette with microwave, hob and fridge freezer (absolute bonus). An on suite shower and toilet. With a small range of crockery, glassware and cutlery (no pans for the hob), an electric kettle with a range of hot drinks. It was clean and airy, with openable windows over looking the park, but equally very quiet. It had good air conditioning, lighting and plugs located in the right places (so often not the case) and by the bed. There's a good amount of storage cupbords, luggage racks, ironing board and iron with mirrors in the appropriate place. Free carparking and a swimming pool too.
Friday to Sunday there are no meals available, but there is a pub and parade of shops within a 5 -10 min walk. There's Pappa John's, a fish and chip shop, a CO-Op and more. All were very easy to find a meal which we brought back and heated in the microwave! We sat outside at the back of the hotel in the lovely, peaceful gardens with our meals in the evening and had a lovely time.
I'd arranged breakfast for Sunday. On arrival I asked if we could have it promptly at 8am as we needed to be away by 8:15/8:30. The team were ready and waiting with a warm welcome, and the breakfast choices both hot and cold were excellent.
It took some time for the hot water to come through in all of the showers on Sunday morning, but it did come through in the end.

Very friendly, helpful reception staff, personally showed us to our suite offering to carry our luggage. Immaculately clean building, suite had everything you could want. Fridge, sink, microwave, TV, desk, chairs, wardrobe, bedside tables with lamps. Comfortable double bed, plenty of clean, fluffy towels, eco friendly body/hair wash. Very good breakfast (paid extra) cereal, fruit, fruit juice, continental and English breakfast, (eggs cooked to order) good choice if hot drinks from machine. Good location for visiting the area (Battle Proms concert at Hatfield Park) and other attractions. Hotel located in a residential area so a few pubs within walking distance. Plenty of free off road parking.
Other areas of the hotel are occupied by asylum seekers, although seem to be housed in different areas away from paying hotel guests. Although we did not encounter any problems the situation felt rather intimidating due to the presence of young men smoking around the outside of the building. I personally would not feel comfortable staying here if I was travelling alone, (just my opinion!)

Glasses was ice cold for magners
Food was all extremely oily and unedable. There was people being housed for the government made me on edge given funny looks. Security worrying about drones flying over head. Think saw 3 members of staff from my arrival when i left had to visit reception for a drink as they was the bar staff

Breakfast was good value for money.
Very disappointed we were not told the hotel was housing migrants. Feel clients should be informed prior to booking.
Gang of young men hanging around outside reception felt quite intimidating.

We were surprised that the room was disabled friendly e.g. wet room with supports, easy access, room to manoeuvre if you had a wheelchair. My wife has a blue badge but does not need a wheelchair yet so it’s good to know there are rooms like this.

Nothing as I drove up I was met by around 12 - 15 asylum seekers who were also staying at this hotel
As a single female travelling on business I did not feel comfortable staying and once I had found alternative accommodation I checked out and got a refund
Asylum seekers also staying at this hotel

A little tired & dated

The room was well equipped and comfortable.
Well when arriving on the evening there were a lot of foreign people outside the entrance of the hotel smoking with more looking out of the hotel room windows. It was later noted that the main hotel is full with long term occupancy of asylum seekers. In view of this the only rooms for general sale are the annex and outside entrance rooms.
I would imagine this place would be very intimidating for long ladies visiting these premises. The carpark is relatively small and appears to share access with local estate.

We stayed in the Wilson room which was on the ground floor and made moving our luggage easier.
The bar was a simple relaxing place to sit down with friends for a quiet drink.
While my wife liked the shower, I couldn’t seem to cool it down

Excellent breakfast.
Bed comfortable.
What more do you need?
Two members of staff were talking/arguing between one and two in the morning . Not sure where they were as my window was open because of the heat but I could have done without it.

Large room and bathroom. Easy to use shower. Plenty of storage.. Staff pleasant.Good selection beverages in room.
Lack of storage and shelf space in bathroom. No hook for hanging things in bathroom. Limited milk to use with drinks and only one pack biscuits. TV settings incorrect - no access to BBC 1 &2. Picture very dark.

Pleasant staff and located next to a nice pub which had great food (the Chieftain) which I opted for the evening of my stay
Had a vibe of isolation - no other guests seen - not even at breakfast which felt odd. The room entered directly from the car park which meant I had quite a few ants in the room (not major as they don’t bother me but worth noting). As I was there for work with a 24hr gap in meetings, the desk was fine but the chair was so low, the top of the desk was at collar bone level haha. I mentioned on departure and to be fair they said they would change out the chair straight away.
