Old House

We absolutely loved our stay at Old House in Monsanto! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed. The house was full of charm and character, and staying right in the heart of one of Portugal’s most unique and beautiful villages made the experience even more special. It was the perfect base for exploring the cobblestone streets, giant boulders, and the incredible views from the castle. This trip to Portugal was especially meaningful for our family as we were celebrating our daughter’s 18th birthday and graduation. Before our arrival, I had mentioned this to our host, and she went above and beyond by surprising her with a homemade birthday cake. It was such an unexpected, thoughtful gesture that truly touched our hearts and made her milestone celebration even more memorable. The kindness and hospitality we experienced here are something we’ll always remember. It’s clear that the hosts genuinely care about their guests and take pride in creating a warm and welcoming experience. If you’re looking for an authentic stay in Monsanto with wonderful hosts, we absolutely recommend Old House. Thank you for helping make our family’s Portugal adventure so special! Great location, amazing view, magic house decore, and an awesome host (who lives next door). Eloiza was a superhost, full of useful tips and advice. She helped transport us and our luggage to and from the 'old house' from the car park area.

This house is from a Fairy Tale and Eloisa is the story teller. She went above and beyond to help my injured wife to be able to stay. She is a ball of energy and won't rest until you are happy.
