Fjord House Hardanger

Prachtig gelegen boven het Hardanger Fjord, op verzoek kun je er ‘s avonds een heerlijke maaltijd genieten. Eigenaresse is bijzonder behulpzaam met goede tips voor de omgeving. Ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid.

Het weggetje ernaar toe is de laatste paar honderd meter wat smal.

I usually don’t write hotel reviews unless a place truly deserves it for some special reason, and Fjord House Hardanger was a very pleasant surprise for my wife and me. The hotel is extremely charming, welcoming, and has an atmosphere that makes you feel like you are staying on an elegant, peaceful, and very special farm. Maria, the owner, was simply excellent: very attentive, kind, and careful with every detail, making our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was incredible, very well prepared, with a homemade feeling that matched the place perfectly. We also had dinner at the hotel, and I definitely recommend it: the pizza was excellent, and the entrecôte was wonderful as well. It was a very special stay, with impeccable service, delicious food, and a truly charming atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, charming, and welcoming experience in Hardanger. Norway as a whole truly surprised us by how friendly and welcoming people were to us. We are Brazilians, we don’t speak any Norwegian and only a little English, yet people were always kind, patient, and willing to help, which made our trip even more special.

There was nothing I truly disliked. Our stay was very pleasant and fully met our expectations. Perhaps the only downside was that we stayed for too short a time, as we would have liked to enjoy the place even more.

Maria was a great host! She greeted us with local delights and was amazing all the way! Highly recommend everything, the place, the cozyness, the experience!
