Loved our room. We had a small outdoor space with table and chairs. The room was well equipped and they explained how to get there very clearly with their videos. The cafe was tranquil and we enjoyed a peaceful stay.

Comfortable rooms with airconditioning.
Nice hotel, but difficult to find. A lot of stairs, but that's Jiufen! Not too far from Jiufen Old Street, but also not super close. Still, a good hotel.

I enjoyed that it was a short walk away from the main attractions in Jiufen, just need to make your way through the narrow alleys to get there. I also appreciated how communicative the staff was, as our check-in experience was very smooth. Everything was clean and functional.
I will say that the hotel can be a little difficult to get to if you don't know the exact right route. Check-in can also be a little confusing because there are several buildings. Other than that, our stay was completely fine.

Clean, tidy and comfortable
Payment was taken in full from my debit card a week in advance of our stay. Upon arrival they demanded the full price be transferred to them again and said the payment was a “holding” fee. It won’t be refunded for a month… nowhere was this explained when booking. Can they not just authorise that payment?? Host refused to use Booking.com chat. Cafe affiliated to the host told us they really prefer cash, not card, despite having a card reader. This was after we told them we had no cash! 🤦♂️
