View from the room - a twin with two beds head to head as the room was narrow but well appointed and spotless. Owner explained everything which is very helpful when staying in places with no recception. So that was a plus. Make a note of how the shower works. Note also that Jiufen is hilly and there are steep steps which may not suit people carrying heavy luggage. The climb was not very long - only a few miinutes. It is also minutes from the bus stand and the famed tea houses. The town closes down around 8 pm so get out before that and the lanterns shut around 10 pm.

Very central location in close proximity to Jiufen old street, tea houses and bus stop. Well appointed room with considered design - there are stairs but all of Jiufen is basically stairs. The host is really nice and made the check in process very easy. We would definitely stay again!

Great location, so close to the street
The room located at 4th floor with extremely narrow staircase and low ceiling. Wouldn’t recommend the place to someone that need accessibility or have lots of luggage or big bags
