Selyna Sky Terrace

The view was stunning, and the property is in the most affluent neighbourhood in town. Selyna was very welcoming and helpful with everything that I wanted to know about the attractions and things to see and do in Kandy and on the way to Nurawa Eliya. The room and its bathroom were stylish and spacious. The breakfast was delicious and just perfect, with fruits, coffee, juice and omelette made with her special recipe. I can definitely recommend this property.

I ticked the box when searching for within 1 km of the town centre, but it's stretching the truth to say that it is. You need a tuk-tuk to get into town, as it's really too far to walk, unless you are happy to walk a couple of kilometres on a maze of windy hilly streets. I was awakened at midnight by a scratching sound above my room, and Selyna said at breakfast that it must have been bats. It was a bit alarming at the time though. With my room at least, it was probably not quite as pollished as the photos. However, despite these drawbacks, I'm still very glad that I found the place, as the property and Selyna really added to my stay in Kandy.

Fabulous stay, delicious homemade breakfast, very helpful & kind host!

We have absolutely loved our stay with Selyna. This was honestly one of our favourite stays in 1.5 years travelling around Asia. Selyna is so welcoming, and you feel right at home. We also loved Ollie, her beautiful dog, who was so sweet and loving! The room and en-suite were spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. Selyna is an amazing chef and made a delicious breakfast every day (every day we had something different). She also has great recommendations on what to do/where to eat around the area. You can walk into town, but we usually went by tuk tuk which was very cheap and easy to book. This stay was the highlight of Kandy for us and we could have easily stayed longer, enjoying the terrace and watching the wildlife from there - it’s a beautiful, quiet spot! I highly recommend staying with Selyna if you come to Kandy!

Gorgeous ceiling to floor windows with perfect view of the sunrise, the family running the property are the sweetest, kindest and most caring people! I really recommend!!!
